About the Role

Synctiv is looking for a Medior Test Automation Engineer to join an Agile team in Brussels. You will contribute to developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, improving testing strategies, and ensuring software quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Work with Java and Playwright to support test automation activities.
• Design and maintain test scenarios using BDD/Gherkin.
• Perform API and end-to-end testing.
• Analyse test results, investigate failures, and identify defects.
• Collaborate with developers and QA professionals in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Playwright.
• Experience developing or maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of BDD/Gherkin, API testing, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of Selenium, Jira, XRAY, Confluence, and SQL is an asset.
• Fluency in French or Dutch and a good command of English.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.

Important: Experience with Java-based test automation frameworks is a key requirement.
