Overview of the Role
The Member Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Nirapon’s global Member Engagement function. As part of an international team, this role partners closely with the Director of Member Engagement to execute member engagement strategy and turn member data into clear, usable insight. Reporting directly to the Director of Member Engagement, this role blends relationship building, member engagement, and data ownership to help the Director strengthen retention, deepen member participation, and roll out new systems and processes across the membership lifecycle.
The Director of Member Engagement sets and owns the member engagement strategy; this position moves beyond administrative support to build and own direct relationships with members and anticipate their needs — and the organization’s — using data and analytics to inform and support that work. The coordinator builds and maintains direct relationships with members, engaging proactively and anticipating member and organizational needs, and works independently without close daily direction. The coordinator also uses data and analytics to track engagement, inform this work, and presents findings confidently to the Director and internal teams. This role is also expected to get up to speed quickly on new systems as Nirapon rolls them out and to help maintain them going forward.
Key Responsibilities
1. Member Relationship Management & Engagement
Serve as a primary point of contact for members, proactively building relationships and understanding their needs.
Anticipate member and organizational needs, proactively surfacing opportunities and flagging risks before they escalate.
Contribute to and help prepare member-facing communications, presentations, and webinar content, as directed by the Director.
Lead the scheduling, planning, and logistics for member communications, meetings, webinars, and committee sessions while keeping preparation on track and on schedule.
Track report readership, webinar attendance, and meeting participation to inform the Director’s engagement strategy.
2. Member Engagement Strategy Execution
Execute and help shape member engagement initiatives, anticipating needs and proactively recommending improvements.
Support the Director by surfacing engagement data trends and insights that inform strategy decisions.
Carry out assigned projects and tasks independently once direction is set, flagging issues or questions proactively.
3. Member Data & Analytics (in Support of Engagement)
Provide data and insights on the membership base, including regional/geographic distribution and other member profile characteristics.
Collect and consolidate engagement data from MailChimp and other systems (e.g., who is opening/reading reports, attending webinars, or participating in meetings and committee sessions), and use it to keep member segmentation current within Nirapon’s engagement framework.
Build and maintain advanced Excel dashboards and reports that track engagement, retention, onboarding, and participation trends for the Director and leadership.
Support the rollout and maintenance of membership and engagement-tracking systems (data migration, testing, data quality), and track membership invoicing, renewals, and payment status to support the Director’s revenue reporting and forecasting.
4. Administrative & Executive Support
Provide data-driven summaries and briefings to support the Director and Executive Leadership Team as needed.
Coordinate with the Dhaka-based team to keep membership data and status aligned across teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; 3–5+ years of relevant experience in membership, member/customer engagement, data analysis, or a related role.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills, with a track record of proactively engaging stakeholders and anticipating their needs.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to organize and interpret data (e.g., regional trends, engagement patterns) into clear, usable insight.
Comfortable presenting data and findings clearly and confidently to the Director and internal teams.
Self-directed, able to anticipate organizational and member needs, and execute independently within the Director’s strategic direction.
Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, dashboards, data modeling); experience with Power BI or reporting tools a plus.
Experience with CRM, email marketing (e.g., MailChimp), or membership management systems (e.g., Trakstar) preferred, and the ability to quickly learn new systems as Nirapon implements them.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines independently.
