THE REQUIREMENTS 4+ years of experience in an MEP Building Consultancy or BIM Production Company. 4+ years of experience producing drawings using 3D Modelling tools, ideally, at least 3 years using REVIT MEP. Navisworks. Experience in commercial, residential, educational, healthcare and industrial projects. Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Digital Engineering, or related field. Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and digital project delivery frameworks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Possess a good knowledge of the practicalities of design, and the ability to make informed design decisions. An understanding of the overall workings of BIM modelling is essential, and the ability to fill in for senior staff when required, e.g., model set-up and management. Basic understanding of LEAN principles, ISO 19650 and Information Management – Cobie/IFC Delivery. Use Autodesk Revit tools to present design and engineering solutions. Naviswork Clash – detection process for MEP Coordination, Schematics Production in AutoCAD from Floor plan / Mark up. Document all designs in accordance with requirements of design practice manuals. Manage own continuous development and support the development of colleagues. Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple jobs/tasks. Drive excellence through high-quality work. Proactive approach to work with a strong team spirit. Confident to speak up and make decisions. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Design management of projects as appropriate to ensure deadlines are met. Carry out M&E design work as applicable using REVIT MEP and Navis delivering constructible 3D clash free models for EDC’s clients. Produce Revit models coordinated with architectural and structural designs. Assist the project lead in preparing calculations and construction documentation. Research, plan, design and develop building engineering systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and electrical, in strict consultation and coordination with the project lead.
