Mgr Clin Doc Integrity Pgrm, FT, 8:30am-5:00pm, Remote - 163723 Description Directing, supervising and evaluating the operations of the Clinical Documentation Management Program (CDM) team for Baptist Hospital Miami (BHM) with additional BHSF facilities if necessary, ensuring the overall quality, completeness and system success of clinical documentation. Coordinates activities with medical staff and hospital departments to provide and maintain optimal standards of clinical documentation. Ensures that the clinical documentation program improves documentation in compliance with rules and regulations of all local, state and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies. Soft skills and experience in integrated electronic health record workflows, technology-enabled review worklist and analytics-informed prioritization is required.The program supports the hospital mission, vision and quality standards of care. The program manager assists with the education of all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis for ICD-10 documentation specificity in MS-DRG and APR-DRG. Scope to include all inpatient payors. Leads adoption of analytics and AI assisted CDI prioritization and supports transition from CDEOne to Epic CDI workflows with planned go live in July 2027, including coordination with DRG encoder integration such as TruBridge. Qualifications Degrees: Doctor of Medicine / DO. Licenses & Certifications: AHIMA Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner. ACDIS Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist. Additional Qualifications: MBA preferred. Three years of managerial experience required. Experience in in-patient hospital care, physician practice and managed care experience, both commercial and government programs. Administrative and leadership experience. Knowledge of legal aspects of coding. Excellent aptitude for communicating effectively with physicians and other clinical professional staff. Experience with Medicare MS-DRG and Medicaid APR-DRG assignments, utilization management, case management and discharge planning. Experience using healthcare web based applications (Milliman, Interqual, etc. ) preferred. Expertise in use of Microsoft Office programs. Incumbents hired prior to 6/4/2023 may be a Certified Coding Specialist or a Registered Nurse to continue in a Clinical Documentation Specialist role, anyone hired after 6/4/2023 must be an international medical graduate. Experience using integrated electronic health records and CDI workflows, including readiness for transition from CDEOne to Epic CDI with planned go live in July 2027. Experience with analytics, reporting, and AI assisted review prioritization tools preferred. Familiarity with DRG encoder and DRG validation tools including TruBridge preferred.
