Microsoft 365 & Automation Specialist

We’re looking for a hands-on Microsoft 365 & Automation Specialist to join Silver Cloud and help us get even more from our technology.
This isn't a traditional IT support role.
Around 75% of your time will be focused on technology projects and continuous improvement, using SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio to solve real business problems, automate repetitive processes and create smarter ways of working.
The remaining 25% will focus on BAU technology support, user enablement and working collaboratively with our outsourced IT provider.

• Reporting to: Head of Operations

We're looking for someone who has genuinely worked hands-on with Microsoft technology, rather than someone whose experience has mainly involved coordinating technical teams or suppliers.
You'll ideally bring:

• Strong practical experience across Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive and Exchange Online.
• Hands-on experience designing and building Power Automate cloud flows.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting automated workflows.
• Good knowledge of SharePoint permissions, document libraries, metadata and information architecture.
• Practical experience using Microsoft Copilot within a business environment.
• Experience building, configuring or supporting solutions in Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• The ability to take a business problem and turn it into a sensible technology solution.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience creating technical documentation and user guidance.
• The ability to explain technology clearly to non-technical colleagues.
• Confidence managing project work alongside changing operational priorities.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership.

Even better if you have:

• Experience working alongside an outsourced IT provider or MSP.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, user and group management, access and licensing.
• Experience with Power Apps, Power BI or other areas of Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience supporting technology adoption or organisational change.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, data protection, retention or records management.
• Awareness of information security within an ISO 27001-aligned environment.
• Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, Power Platform Fundamentals or Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals.
• Experience within consultancy, professional services or another fast-moving business.

There’s a real variety of projects to get stuck into.
You could be:

• Redesigning and improving our internal SharePoint environment.
• Reviewing SharePoint sites, document libraries, metadata, permissions and information architecture.
• Creating standardised SharePoint workspaces for new client projects.
• Building Power Automate cloud flows to remove repetitive administration.
• Automating the creation, management and closure of project document repositories.
• Building automated approval processes for internal teams.
• Developing and configuring agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Creating Copilot solutions that help colleagues find approved policies, processes, templates and internal knowledge.
• Supporting the wider rollout and adoption of Microsoft Copilot.
• Improving internal and client-facing file-sharing processes.
• Finding opportunities across Operations, People, Finance, Marketing and Delivery where technology can make things simpler.
• Testing solutions and creating clear documentation, guidance and training materials.
• Supporting improvements around Microsoft 365 governance, document management and security.

The important bit? You'll be building and improving things, not simply administering systems.

You’ll also help keep things running
Alongside project delivery, you'll be an internal technology point of contact for Silver Cloud.
That could include:

• Triaging straightforward IT queries.
• Escalating incidents and requests to our Managed Service Provider where appropriate.
• Helping colleagues navigate IT support.
• Supporting queries around access, permissions, equipment and accounts.
• Coordinating with third-party technology suppliers where needed.
• Creating user guides and self-service support materials.
• Delivering training and demonstrations on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Automate and Copilot.
• Helping colleagues confidently adopt new technology.
