Job Title: Microsoft 365 Consultant – Architecture, Migration Leadership & Modern Workplace Strategy Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-time The Role: Working within the Infrastructure Team and reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you will play a key role as a Microsoft 365 Consultant. You will lead the design, architecture, and delivery of Microsoft 365 transformation programmes for customers transitioning from on-premises environments into a modern cloud-driven workplace. You will be responsible for producing High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), migration strategies, governance frameworks, and leading technical workstreams to ensure successful delivery. You will act as the senior authority across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Microsoft Purview — providing guidance to project engineers, shaping the technical direction, and engaging with stakeholders to architect secure, scalable, adoption-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities Modern Workplace Architecture & Design ● Lead the end-to-end architecture and roadmap for Microsoft 365 adoption ● Produce high-quality HLDs, LLDs, migration blueprints and technical governance documentation ● Define security, compliance, retention, data governance and lifecycle strategy in line with best practice ● Architect Microsoft identity and hybrid connectivity — Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, Zero Trust Migration Leadership ● Own the migration strategy for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams workloads ● Assess legacy environments, perform gap analysis and define remediation sequencing ● Select tooling & migration approach (staged, hybrid, cutover) based on requirements ● Guide engineers executing migrations — acting as senior technical escalation and approval authority Technical Delivery Oversight ● Oversee delivery of M365 services including: – Exchange Online migration (hybrid, staged or cutover) – SharePoint Online transformation & information architecture – OneDrive for Business rollout & adoption – Teams deployment, governance, external access & lifecycle control ● Lead implementation of Microsoft Purview: DLP, sensitivity labels, retention & compliance policies ● Ensure solutions are secure, scalable & documented with operational handover completed Customer Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement ● Work with customer stakeholders to define business outcomes and cloud adoption strategies ● Run design workshops, migration discovery sessions and governance planning engagements ● Guide customers through licensing optimisation, readiness, risk management and adoption planning ● Present architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Skills & Experience Required ● Proven background designing & leading Microsoft 365 migrations at scale ● Ability to produce HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, architecture diagrams and governance frameworks ● Strong expertise across the Microsoft 365 stack: – Exchange Online | SharePoint Online | OneDrive | Teams – Microsoft Purview — Information Protection, DLP, Compliance, eDiscovery ● Deep understanding of hybrid identity, AAD Connect, Conditional Access, MFA & Zero Trust principles ● Experience leading engineering teams, providing direction and solution ownership ● Ability to challenge assumptions, solve complex problems, and drive technical outcomes ● Excellent communication and presentation skills with customers, PMs and technical staff Required Certifications (or equivalent real-world experience) ✔ MS-102 — Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate ✔ MS-700 — Teams Admin Associate or SC-300 Identity Associate Preferred / Highly Valuable Certifications ⭐ MS-203 — Exchange Online ⭐ MS-600 — Teams/Graph Development Experience ( advantageous) ⭐ SC-400 — Information Protection & Purview ⭐ Enterprise Architect-Track Certification | Expert-Level Status Role Outcomes Success in this role means: ▶ You architect modern Microsoft 365 environments that are secure, scalable and well-governed ▶ You lead migrations with technical authority and stakeholder confidence ▶ Engineers follow your direction, and projects progress smoothly with controlled risk ▶ Customers experience a professional, structured transformation to Microsoft 365 Why Join Us?
