Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer

We are looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join one of our teams - Nevaris.

You will design, develop, optimise, and maintain Business Central solutions. A large part of the role is building and improving reports, implementing automated tests and keeping the application fast through test and performance code units.

YOUR DAILY CHALLENGES

• Design, develop and maintain Business Central extensions in AL using Visual Studio Code;
• Create and maintain Word Layout and RDLC reports;
• Convert legacy RDLC reports to modern Word layouts where it makes sense;
• Optimise report performance and usability, and keep reports accurate, consistent and easy to maintain;
• Develop and maintain automated test code units, including unit, integration and regression tests;
• Build performance code units to measure and improve application performance;
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and monitor and improve code coverage;
• Work with Git-based source control, pull requests and code reviews;
• Use AI-assisted development tools to speed up development and testing, while reviewing and owning the final result;
• Work with Azure services as part of Business Central solutions and integrations.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

• At least 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV);
• Strong AL development skills in Visual Studio Code;
• Solid experience with Word Layout and RDLC report development;
• Experience writing automated tests with test codeunits and the Business Central test framework;
• Experience with Git-based source control and branching workflows;
• Working knowledge of Azure services;
• Understanding of Business Central performance optimisation;
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science;
• Fluent in English.

CONSIDERED A PLUS

• Experience converting legacy RDLC reports to Word layouts;
• Experience with CI/CD for Business Central (AL-Go for GitHub, Azure DevOps pipelines, BcContainerHelper);
• Experience with performance codeunits and performance profiling tools;
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot;
• Experience migrating from C/AL (Dynamics NAV) to AL;
• Microsoft certification for Business Central (e.g. MB-820).
