Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Specialist to join us on a full-time basis, working closely with our Finance Management Team in European time zone hours. Having implemented Business Central about a year ago, we are seeking a dedicated expert to help us fully leverage the system's standard capabilities, build custom functional solutions when required, maintain API integrations, deliver user-friendly financial reports, and lead our internal development team. This role is ideal for a proactive consultant who excels at translating complex financial requirements into smooth system workflows and actionable insights, acting as the primary SME (Subject Matter Expert) for our ERP ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analytics: Partner directly with the Finance Management Team to translate user requirements into tailored, user-friendly reports and visual dashboards using Business Central and Power BI. System Optimization & Functional Solutions: Utilize standard Business Central functionality wherever possible, while designing tailored data logic and custom solutions only when business needs exceed out-of-the-box features. API & System Integrations: Maintain and manage seamless integrations between Business Central and external databases or third-party platforms, applying strong hands-on knowledge of how to build and manage APIs. Support & Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary remote point of contact for daily internal user inquiries, troubleshooting, and issue resolution within the Finance Department and across the company. Development Team Management: Lead and manage a team of two in-house developers and one part time QA person, including task allocation, sprint planning, technical guidance, code review oversight, and overall execution quality. Technical Budget Management: Configure and technically maintain Business Central’s Budgeting modules, including budget structures, data entry setups, and system-level budget vs. actuals tracking. Requirements Microsoft Business Central Experience: 5+ years of proven, hands-on experience as an Implementer / Consultant specifically for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (experience in the High-Tech sector is strongly preferred). Financial Collaboration & Reporting: Proven track record of working closely with finance teams to translate complex financial requirements into intuitive, user-friendly reports and dashboards. Integration: Hands-on experience connecting Business Central to external platforms and third-party systems via APIs, Web Services, or integration tools. Power BI Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Power BI development and seamless integration with Business Central. Team Leadership: Proven experience leading and managing a small team of developers, translating business requirements into technical sprints, and driving projects to delivery. Budgeting Module: Technical understanding of setup, configuration, and maintenance for the Budgeting / Budget Control functionality in Business Central for both financial and cash flow reporting. Availability & Working Hours: Ability to work Full-Time aligned with European Time Zone hours. Advantages Financial Background: Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting logic, and workflows to collaborate fluently with the Finance Department. HRIS Integration: Experience with HiBob integration or similar HR management systems. CRM Systems: Familiarity with CRM systems (such as MS Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.) and their integration with Business Central.
