About Ferrilli

Ferrilli (Robert Ferrilli, LLC) is a higher education IT professional services firm headquartered in Haddonfield, NJ. Our Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) practice helps colleges and universities modernize, secure, and run their infrastructure, from on-premises data centers to Microsoft cloud platforms.

Position summary

The Microsoft Modern Work Consultant is Ferrilli's go-to expert for Microsoft 365 endpoint management, workflow automation, and the Power Platform. You will help institutions manage devices with Intune, replace manual processes with automation, and build Power Apps that solve real campus business problems.

This is a client-facing consulting role. You will work directly with campus IT staff and business offices, deliver projects end to end, and translate institutional needs into secure, supportable Microsoft 365 solutions across multiple institutions. You will use AI tools as a routine part of how you work, to deliver faster and at higher quality.

Key responsibilities

Endpoint management (Intune)

  • Design and deploy Microsoft Intune for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, including enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and app deployment.
  • Implement Windows Autopilot and modern provisioning for faculty, staff, and lab devices.
  • Plan and execute migrations from Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Group Policy to Intune, including co-management.
  • Manage Windows Update for Business, endpoint security baselines, and mobile application management (MAM) for BYOD.
  • Integrate Intune compliance with Entra ID Conditional Access.

Automation

  • Build Power Automate cloud and desktop flows that replace manual, paper-based, or email-driven processes.
  • Automate Microsoft 365 administration with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Azure Automation or Logic Apps.
  • Document, monitor, and hand off automations so client staff can support them.

Power Platform

  • Design and build canvas and model-driven Power Apps on SharePoint and Dataverse.
  • Establish Power Platform governance: environment strategy, DLP policies, licensing guidance, and the CoE Starter Kit.
  • Connect Power Platform solutions to campus systems through standard and custom connectors.

Microsoft 365 modern work

  • Advise on Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online configuration and governance.
  • Support Microsoft Purview data protection, including sensitivity labels and DLP.
  • Assess and prepare environments for Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption, including data access and oversharing risks.

AI-enabled delivery

  • Use generative AI tools (such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Claude) to accelerate scripting, flow and app building, troubleshooting, documentation, and analysis.
  • Validate and test all AI-assisted output before it reaches a client, and protect client data by following Ferrilli's AI usage guidelines.
  • Build AI capabilities into client solutions where they add value, using tools such as Copilot Studio and AI Builder.
  • Share effective AI practices with the ETS team and help clients adopt AI tools responsibly.

Client delivery and leadership

  • Scope work, produce assessments, runbooks, and solution documentation, and present findings to CIOs, IT staff, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead knowledge transfer and end-user or administrator training.
  • Contribute to Ferrilli's ETS service offerings and proposal responses.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of Microsoft 365 engineering or consulting experience.
  • 3+ years deploying and administering Microsoft Intune in production, including Autopilot, compliance, and app deployment.
  • Hands-on experience building Power Automate flows and Power Apps (canvas and/or model-driven) used in production.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Graph API.
  • Working knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 security and compliance features.
  • Demonstrated, practical experience using generative AI tools in day-to-day technical work, with sound judgment about when output needs verification and what data should not be shared.
  • Proven ability to assess unfamiliar client environments quickly: review Intune, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform configurations, identify risks and gaps against best practices, and turn findings into prioritized, actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to gather requirements from non-technical business users and turn them into working solutions.
  • Proven ability to document solutions clearly and communicate with both technical staff and executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in higher education IT or as a consultant serving multiple clients.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform or automation solutions with higher education ERPs such as Ellucian Colleague and Banner.
  • Experience with Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) to Intune migrations.
  • Experience building agents or AI-powered solutions with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, or Azure AI services.
  • Familiarity with Dataverse, Power BI, and Power Platform ALM (solutions and pipelines).
  • Familiarity with accessibility (ADA/WCAG) requirements for campus-facing apps.

Certifications (preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) is a plus
