About the role As our digital-first e-commerce platform continues to expand rapidly across Europe, we are focused on optimizing our product offerings to ensure maximum profitability and customer satisfaction. To support this continuous growth, we are refining our Private Brand (PB) strategy and strengthening commercial ownership across our product groups. We need strong category management expertise to analyze commercial metrics, build product range strategies, and unlock new revenue potential within our aftermarket portfolio. To achieve this goal, we are hiring a Category Manager to take commercial ownership of a dedicated group of automotive spare parts. In this key individual contributor role, you will act as a true business owner responsible for the commercial results, product assortment, and performance metrics of your category. You will conduct deep-dive data analysis, develop and test hypotheses, and collaborate cross-functionally across departments to eliminate blockers and drive annual budget goals. You will be working towards maximizing overall category revenue and profit while identifying key range gaps and sourcing opportunities using advanced analytics tools like PowerBI and Metabase. You will also form clear requirements for developers and analysts to continuously optimize category performance. Key Responsibilities Oversee commercial plan and strategy execution by managing key product metrics and product assortment to fulfill annual targets. Conduct data analysis and "detective" work to regularly monitor KPIs, investigate complex data discrepancies, and take corrective actions. Formulate and test hypotheses using advanced Excel tools and BI systems to find actionable growth opportunities and optimize category performance. Analyze brand and product mix to identify range gaps, optimize brand strategy, and uncover strategic sourcing opportunities. Consolidate multi-source data and build clear performance visualizations using internal tools such as PowerBI or Metabase for key stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally with team members across departments to align on commercial goals and resolve operational blockers independently. Manage developer and analyst tasks by setting clear requirements, controlling deadlines, and providing regular status updates. Core Capabilities & Skills 5 or more years of proven category or product management experience within the aftermarket automotive spare parts sector, ideally in E-commerce or Omnichannel environments. Deep systems thinking alongside strong data analysis skills, including advanced expertise in MS Excel and Google Spreadsheets. Demonstrated expertise in sales and purchasing planning, alongside robust project management skills. Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the capability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. High degree of proactivity and independence, capable of acting as a true business owner without requiring constant supervision. Advanced English language skills (B2/C1 level) for fluent written and verbal collaboration across international teams Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education diploma in business, supply chain, or a related technical field.
