Joining our team means engaging with expansive engineering teams across Latin America and the United States, contributing to cutting-edge developments in multiple industries.

Currently, we are seeking a Mid-Level Manual QA with strong English communication skills to support the quality assurance of a SaaS-based insurance agent compensation management platform.

Position Title: Mid-Level Manual QA

Location: Remote LATAM

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Manual QA Tester to join a growing nearshore quality assurance team supporting software implementations for U.S.-based insurance carriers. The role will focus initially on manual testing of business workflows within a SaaS platform used for insurance agent onboarding, compensation, licensing, and related operational processes.

You will work closely with implementation, configuration, product, and client teams to validate that solutions meet documented business requirements. The ideal candidate understands the purpose behind each test, investigates unexpected results, asks thoughtful questions, and reports defects with clear evidence. Training on the platform, insurance industry, and customer-specific processes will be provided.

  • Create, maintain, and execute clear manual test cases based on business requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing across SaaS-based business processes.

  • Validate configured solutions and confirm that system behavior aligns with expected business outcomes.

  • Investigate unexpected results and distinguish product defects from test data, file format, configuration, or user-input issues.

  • Document test results, supporting evidence, and observations accurately and consistently.

  • Report defects with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, severity, and relevant supporting information.

  • Retest resolved defects and confirm that fixes do not introduce regression issues.

  • Prepare concise testing status reports and communicate risks, blockers, and quality concerns early.

  • Manage test cases and execution results using TestRail or comparable test management platforms.

  • Collaborate with implementation, configuration, product, automation, and client-side testing teams while maintaining an independent quality perspective.

  • Learn insurance terminology, platform workflows, and customer-specific processes through structured training and practical experience.

  • Contribute to reusable testing documentation, process guides, and a shared glossary to support future team growth and onboarding.

  • Adapt to customer-specific project tools and testing processes when required, including Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.

  • Use basic SQL queries to retrieve and validate data supporting test scenarios.

  • Validate data accuracy and consistency across application workflows and system records.

  • Test compensation scenarios involving broker information, hierarchies, relationships, and business rules.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of professional experience in manual software quality assurance or software testing.

  • Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and executing manual test cases and test scenarios.

  • Experience performing functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing for web-based or SaaS applications.

  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals, defect lifecycles, severity, priority, and test evidence.

  • Experience using a test management or defect-tracking platform such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or an equivalent tool.

  • Hands-on experience with TestRail.

  • Understanding of data models involving broker or agent details, organizational hierarchies, relationships, compensation structures, and calculations.

  • Experience testing complex compensation scenarios and business rules.

  • Familiarity with the U.S. insurance industry, particularly agent licensing, appointments, and compensation processes.

  • Experience with SAP Agent Performance Management or comparable enterprise compensation platforms.

  • Exposure to test automation concepts or tools such as Cypress.

  • Basic familiarity with Git or version-control workflows.

  • Experience working in regulated environments involving PII, HIPAA, CMS, or comparable security requirements.

  • Interest in developing automation, product, or implementation knowledge as the team and service offering grow.
