Mid-Level Project Manager / 100% Remote / (6 Month Contract) We are seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of strategic business and technology initiatives within an Enterprise PMO environment. This role is ideal for a delivery-focused Project Manager with experience in the banking, credit union, or financial services industry who can successfully lead projects using both traditional project management methodologies and Agile delivery practices. Important: This is a true mid-level Project Manager (5-10 years) position focused on hands-on project planning, execution, and stakeholder management. This is not a high level Project Manager, Program Manager, Portfolio Manager, or PMO leadership role, and candidates should be comfortable owning day-to-day project delivery rather than program-level strategy and oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project execution, managing stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, status reports, and governance documentation. Coordinate cross-functional business and technology teams to drive successful project outcomes. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions as needed. Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation processes. Communicate project status, key decisions, and risks to business leaders and executive stakeholders. Partner with business teams, vendors, and technical teams to ensure alignment and delivery success. Support enterprise transformation, operational improvement, and customer-facing initiatives. Proactively identify and remove roadblocks to maintain project momentum and delivery timelines. Required Qualifications 5+ years of Project Management experience. This is truly a mid-level PM role (5 - 10 years) Experience managing projects within the banking, credit union, financial services, or regulated financial industry. Experience working within an Enterprise PMO environment. Scrum Master, PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, or related certifications. Experience leading digital transformation, operational improvement, or customer experience initiatives. Experience supporting technology-driven projects and cross-functional teams. Experience working with project management tool Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management. Experience delivering projects using both: 1) Traditional/Waterfall methodologies and 2) Agile and Scrum frameworks Proven ability to create project plans and successfully drive execution. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple organizational levels. Comfortable presenting project updates to managers, directors, and executive stakeholders. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Demonstrated history of delivering projects on time and achieving business objectives. Ideal Candidate Financial services or banking industry experience. Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience. Traditional project management expertise. Executive-level communication skills. Confidence managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. A proactive, ownership-oriented approach to project delivery. A proven track record of driving initiatives forward, removing obstacles, and delivering measurable business results. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
