Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP New York, NY $75,000 -$85,000 About Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP We seek a Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP to join an MSP company that supports small-medium-sized businesses with their everyday technology needs. Primary responsibilities include visiting local client sites in the area to support project needs when it comes to TCP/IP, Active Directory, Office365, Exchange, WAN, and VLAN, Firewalls, VMWare, etc. The Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP will also be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and integrity of the server components of the network to include systems backups. The Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP will be an escalation point on the field. The Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP will be an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming junior tech to gain exposure to emerging virtualization and cloud technologies and grow beyond essential desktop support. The Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP will be joining a fast-growing industry-leading collocation, managed-to-host, and managed services company. Mid-Level System Administrator (Hybrid) MSP Duties: Excellent communication and documentation skills Understanding of TCP/IP Troubleshooting and administering Microsoft infrastructure (O365, Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.) Experience with Networking, Windows OS’s to include XP, 7, 10, Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, and 2016 Experience with HP or Dell servers Experience working with Cisco routers and switches with a CCNA preferred Experience with Virtualization Technologies: VMWare, Hyper-V (preferred) 2+ years of experience with building and managing firewalls Maintained ticket updates for reported incidents and experience with the help desk ticketing system (ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow, etc.) Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware, Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers.
