About the Role
A collaborative national law firm is seeking a Trusts and Estates Associate to join its Taxation and Wealth Planning practice in Atlanta. This client-facing role focuses on advising individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning and administration matters, with opportunities to develop client relationships and grow a practice.
What You'll Do
Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate planning and wealth transfer strategies.
Draft and review wills, trusts, irrevocable trusts, charitable giving plans, and related documents.
Counsel trustees, executors, and other fiduciaries on trust and estate administration and their responsibilities.
Work directly with clients and build strong, lasting relationships.
Contribute to continuity and growth of an established trusts and estates practice.
What We're Looking For
Five to seven years of trusts and estates law experience advising high-net-worth clients.
A Juris Doctor degree and a law school GPA of at least 3.0.
Admission to practice law in Georgia, or eligibility to obtain it.
Strong knowledge of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax rules.
Experience drafting advanced estate planning documents and advising on trust and estate administration.
An entrepreneurial approach, sound client service skills, and comfort in a direct client-facing role.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $235,000 to $300,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid role based in Atlanta, Georgia, with an expectation of working in the office at least three days per week.
