Mid Machine Learning Engineer

We are currently looking for a Mid Machine Learning Engineer to help bring machine learning solutions into production, ensuring reliability, monitoring and performance, while contributing to the development of MLOps practices and scalable production-ready systems.

Required Competencies:

• More than 3 years of experience in Machine Learning
• Strong experience productionising and deploying Machine Learning models
• Experience building and maintaining ML-focused CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as:
  • GitHub Actions
  • Jenkins
• Strong Python skills, including:
  • Project structuring
  • Reusable and testable code
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Design patterns
  • Testing frameworks such as pytest or unittest
• Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure for running and integrating ML workloads
• Understanding of MLOps fundamentals, including:
  • Git versioning
  • Pull Requests
  • Code reviews
  • ML-specific versioning practices
• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks, including:
  • TensorFlow
  • PyTorch
  • Scikit-learn
• Experience deploying models using Docker or Kubernetes
• Understanding of model optimisation and compression
• Experience monitoring models in production, including performance, failures and key metrics
• Experience with model-serving APIs using FastAPI or Flask
• Ability to optimise model response times and operational efficiency
• Experience collaborating with Data Scientists and Data Engineers on model deployment and data transformation initiatives
• Ability to develop solutions from scratch and work pragmatically in environments where MLOps processes are still being established
• English – minimum B2
• Availability to work 2 days per week at the Lisbon office

Preferred Competencies:

• Knowledge of Java or Scala for integration with existing systems
• Experience with retraining automation
• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting for production ML models
• Experience building MLOps practices and deployment processes from the ground up

Location: Lisbon

Work Model: Hybrid

Salary Range: €1.500–€1.800 gross/month
