Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced New Business Account Manager to join an international software company specialising in business applications and SaaS solutions.

This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional with a strong background in B2B software sales and a proven track record of winning new business across mid-market and enterprise accounts.

You will take ownership of a pipeline of new business opportunities, understand prospective customers’ requirements, and deliver tailored software solutions that drive business value. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to negotiation and deal closure, while building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across mid-market and enterprise organisations.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual new business sales targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, understanding their business challenges and objectives.
  • Deliver engaging sales presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Apply a consultative, solution-selling approach to demonstrate the value and return on investment of SaaS solutions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company's software portfolio, market developments, and competitor offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including pre-sales, marketing, product, customer support, and partnerships, to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Work with implementation partners where required to support successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting, and sales forecasts, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market presence, develop new customer relationships, and drive revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 8-15 years of experience in new business sales or business development within the software or SaaS industry.
  • Proven experience selling B2B software solutions to mid-market and enterprise customers.
  • A strong track record of winning new business and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience selling SaaS applications, such as CRM, ERP, accounting, marketing automation, or HR management systems, is highly desirable.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and commercial skills.
  • Confidence delivering product demonstrations, presentations, and tailored commercial proposals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM systems for forecasting, reporting, and opportunity management.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid, international environment.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally for customer meetings when required.

Package and Benefits

  • Permanent, full-time employment with a 40-hour working week.
  • Hybrid working arrangement: 2 days in the Milton Keynes office and 3 days working from home.
  • Competitive salary.
  • 25 days of annual leave.
  • Pension contributions.
  • Travel expenses covered for customer meetings.
  • Company-provided MacBook, phone, and additional equipment to support home working.
  • An entrepreneurial and supportive working environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and progression into senior or leadership positions.
  • Exposure to international teams across sales, marketing, account management, solution engineering, and partnerships.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid national or EU passport, have the appropriate authorisation to work in the UK, and live within a reasonable commuting distance of Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate will be subject to background verification in accordance with applicable legislation and relevant market standards.
