We are expanding our product offerings and are looking for a Mid Senior Full Stack Engineer based in the UK or EU to help build the next generation of our interactive coding and career advancement platform.

About the Role

We are looking for a strong software engineer with experience in Java, Python, full stack development, and modern AI or LLM based applications. You will work on building scalable platform features, improving backend systems, integrating AI powered capabilities, and creating user friendly experiences for developers preparing for technical interviews and career growth.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the stack, understands backend architecture, and is excited about applying AI to real world education and career development products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack features for the FunCodeNet platform.
  
• Develop backend services using Java, Python, REST APIs, and modern cloud based architecture.
  
• Build and improve frontend user experiences using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
  
• Integrate LLM and AI powered features such as coding assistants, interview preparation tools, automated feedback systems, and personalized learning workflows.
  
• Work with databases, APIs, authentication systems, and third party integrations.
  
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering team members to turn product ideas into reliable software.
  
• Write clean, maintainable, and well tested code.
  
• Improve system performance, security, reliability, and developer experience.
  
• Participate in technical planning, code reviews, debugging, and production support.
  

Requirements

Candidate Location Requirement

Candidates must be based in the United Kingdom or European Union. Please do not apply if you are not currently based in one of these locations.

• 4 plus years of professional software engineering experience.
  
• Strong hands on experience with Java and Python.
  
• Experience building full stack web applications.
  
• Experience with REST APIs, backend services, and database driven applications.
  
• Good understanding of software architecture, clean code, testing, and version control.
  
• Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, Next.js, Angular, Vue.js, or similar.
  
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  
• Interest in AI, LLMs, automation, or developer tooling.
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote team.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI or LLM powered products.
  
• Experience with OpenAI API, Claude API, LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, or AI agents.
  
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
  
• Experience with learning platforms, coding platforms, interview preparation tools, or developer education products.
  
• Experience with microservices, event driven systems, or message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis.
