You will design and develop electronic hardware for connected devices and custom solutions ordered by customers across a variety of industries. Depending on the project, you may contribute to schematic design, PCB development, prototyping, hardware validation, certification, or production support.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of digital electronics. Experience in using modern RF modules.
- Experience designing schematics and multilayer PCBs.
- Good working knowledge of Altium Designer.
- Understanding of component selection, power supply design, signal integrity, and EMC considerations.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation.
- Ability to use laboratory equipment such as a multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and programmable power supply.
- Familiarity with common communication interfaces and protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, CAN or similar.
- Ability to read component datasheets, reference designs, and technical standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly, document technical decisions, and work effectively with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
- Independence, attention to detail, and a structured approach to solving technical problems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic hardware for embedded and IoT products.
- Define hardware requirements and contribute to hardware architecture decisions.
- Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
- Select and evaluate components based on technical, cost, availability, and lifecycle requirements.
- Perform board bring-up, testing, debugging, and design validation.
- Investigate hardware and system integration issues.
- Develop test plans, test fixtures, and validation procedures.
- Support EMC, environmental, safety, and product certification activities.
- Work closely with embedded software engineers during hardware development, bring-up, and system integration.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, project planning, and risk assessment.
- Support prototype builds, production introduction, and the resolution of manufacturing issues.
- Create clear technical documentation and maintain existing hardware designs.
- Promote good engineering, quality, testing, and security practices across the team.
Nice to have
- Experience designing industrial, automotive, telecommunications, or IoT devices.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, microprocessors, SoCs, wireless modules, or embedded Linux platforms.
- Ability to develop basic software, scripts, or tools for hardware bring-up and testing.
- Experience with power electronics, battery-powered devices, or low-power design.
- Familiarity with high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, USB, or Gigabit Ethernet.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI, ESD protection, signal integrity, and thermal design.
- Experience preparing products for CE, FCC, RED, UL, or industry-specific certification.
- Experience working with PCB assembly manufacturers and external suppliers.
- Experience with mass production.
Working conditions
Hardware is mostly hands-on so we are looking for someone willing to work mostly from our HQ in Warsaw (near Metro Wilanowska). Hybrid work is possible when no lab work is required. From time to time you will be required to travel to clients, vendors and partners.
