Middle strong C++ (MacOS Experience)

About The Role

Join a team building a next-generation data replication and storage platform designed to support large-scale, high-load data processing and storage requirements. You will contribute to the development of new services using Rust, the strategic technology for future platform evolution, while occasionally supporting parts of the existing C++ ecosystem. Working within a distributed team of six engineers, you will help shape architecture, performance, and scalability for a technically complex product.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new services for a data replication and storage platform, delivering reliable and scalable functionality aligned with business and technical goals
• Take ownership of high-performance solutions, improving system reliability, throughput, and scalability across large-scale workloads
• Collaborate closely with client engineers, SoftServe team members, and stakeholders to align implementation with architecture and product objectives
• Implement backend services using Rust, following engineering best practices and modern software development principles
• Contribute to architectural discussions, evaluate technical approaches, and support informed engineering decisions
• Maintain and enhance selected components of the existing C++ codebase when platform needs require cross-technology support
• Apply software design patterns, algorithmic thinking, and performance optimization techniques to solve complex engineering challenges
• Leverage AI-powered development tools as part of the engineering workflow to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery effectiveness
  
  
  

Requirements

• Strong senior-level software engineering experience with a proven record of delivering production-grade systems
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining high-load, scalable, and distributed services in complex environments
• Experience with Rust or a strong willingness to adopt Rust as the primary development language
• Practical expertise in C++ or readiness to work with and maintain existing C++ components when required
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and their practical application in large-scale systems
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, computational complexity, and performance optimization techniques
• Experience validating solutions under realistic production-scale conditions and addressing scalability challenges
• Openness to using AI-assisted development tools as part of day-to-day engineering activities
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and effective collaboration within distributed teams
