We are currently hiring for a Middleware SME (Tomcat) - Remote for our global IT Infrastructure support client in the Toronto area. Role: Middleware SME (Tomcat) - Remote Type: Contract 12 months + long term extensions Rate Range: $110 - $125/hr C2C Location: Remote - Toronto, ON, Canada Role Overview Position: Middleware SME - Remote Contractor Software International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Middleware SME to join our team on a remote contract basis. As a Middleware SME, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our clients' middleware systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain middleware solutions for our clients - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to middleware systems - Develop and maintain documentation for middleware systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of middleware with other systems - Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in middleware technology - Provide training and support to other team members on middleware systems - Participate in project planning and provide technical recommendations for middleware solutions - Conduct performance testing and optimization of middleware systems - Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies for middleware systems Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Minimum of 10 years of experience working with middleware systems - Strong knowledge of middleware technologies such as Tomcat, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Couchbase. These are key for this project . - IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, are nice to haves - Experience with middleware integration and troubleshooting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Experience with cloud-based middleware solutions is a plus - Relevant certifications in middleware technology is preferred This is a remote contract position, so the candidate must have a reliable internet connection and be able to work independently.
