Organisation: Neuro Voices

Role type: Part-time volunteer

Time commitment: 5–10 hours per week

Location: Remote and flexible

Reports to: Head of Product and Marketing

About Neuro Voices

Neuro Voices is a growing community and social-impact organisation supporting neurodivergent founders, professionals and young people.

Through events, programmes, storytelling, digital content and partnerships, we aim to amplify neurodivergent voices, create opportunities and help build more inclusive workplaces, businesses and communities.

We work with founders, corporate partners, community organisations and industry leaders to deliver initiatives that create meaningful social impact.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and experienced Midweight Graphic Designer to join the Neuro Voices team on a part-time volunteer basis.

This role is suited to a designer who is confident taking ownership of creative projects and translating ideas, information and briefs into professional, engaging visual communications.

You will work closely with our Head of Product and Marketing and wider team to develop high-quality creative materials across events, programmes, partnerships, campaigns and presentations.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the Neuro Voices visual identity and help raise the overall standard and consistency of our design output.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design high-quality flyers, posters and promotional materials for Neuro Voices events, programmes and campaigns.
  • Create and develop professional PowerPoint and presentation decks for corporate partners, funders, sponsors and other stakeholders.
  • Produce engaging social media graphics and campaign assets for LinkedIn, Instagram and other digital channels.
  • Design programme materials, reports, impact documents, brochures and branded resources.
  • Take ownership of design projects from initial brief through to final delivery.
  • Translate complex information and written content into clear, accessible and visually engaging designs.
  • Maintain and develop consistency across the Neuro Voices visual identity.
  • Help improve existing templates, presentation styles and branded materials.
  • Adapt and resize creative assets for different digital, social and print formats.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, product, community and leadership teams.
  • Provide creative input and recommendations on campaigns, events and new initiatives.
  • Support the development and organisation of brand assets, design templates and shared creative resources.
  • Review and improve existing creative materials where required.
What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who can work confidently and independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in graphic design, visual communication, branding or a related creative role.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating professional, freelance, university or personal design work.
  • Confidence using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva and PowerPoint.
  • Strong skills in layout, typography, composition, imagery and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience creating presentation decks and digital marketing materials.
  • The ability to interpret creative briefs and develop ideas with limited supervision.
  • An understanding of brand consistency and how to apply visual guidelines across different formats.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage several small projects and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Confidence receiving feedback and developing designs collaboratively.
  • An interest in neurodiversity, inclusion, entrepreneurship, technology or social impact.

Experience working with charities, startups, communities, events or purpose-led organisations would be beneficial but is not essential.

What You Will Gain

This role offers an opportunity to take meaningful creative ownership within a growing social-impact organisation.

You will gain:

  • Experience working on real-world projects with visible community and social impact.
  • Strong portfolio opportunities across branding, events, campaigns, social media and corporate presentations.
  • Opportunities to work on materials presented to major organisations, partners and stakeholders.
  • The chance to contribute to the development of the Neuro Voices brand and creative direction.
  • Experience collaborating with product, marketing, community and leadership teams.
  • Opportunities to contribute your own creative ideas and help shape future campaigns.
  • Access to Neuro Voices events, networks and professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunities to connect with founders, businesses, partners and leaders across our community.
  • A professional reference following successful completion of the role.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the neurodivergent community.
Commitment

The role requires approximately 5–10 flexible hours per week.

As this is a remote volunteer position, working hours can generally be organised around other commitments.

We ask volunteers to communicate regularly with the team, manage agreed deadlines and attend occasional online team or project meetings.

How to Apply

Please send:

  • A short introduction explaining why you are interested in joining Neuro Voices.
  • Your CV or LinkedIn profile.
  • A portfolio or examples of relevant design work.
  • Where possible, examples of presentation design, social media content, branding, campaigns or event materials.

Neuro Voices welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds.

We particularly encourage applications from neurodivergent, disabled and underrepresented candidates.

  • Reasonable adjustments can be provided throughout the application process and during the volunteer role.
