MilSpouse - A VGS Growth Program (Employee Position)

Military Spouses are highly qualified for a wide range of careers yet are often looked past and chosen after their civilian counterparts for positions. VG Systems recognizes that many military spouses sacrifice their careers for a variety of reasons: lack of childcare, lack of support, frequent PCSs, and more. MilSpouse - A VGS Growth Program aims to provide remote, flexible work while connecting each employee with resources and benefits that will help them reach their career goals. MilSpouse - A VGS Growth Program's goal is to meet spouses where they are professionally. We help define goals and purpose, and then connect spouses with resources and benefits that will assist them in reaching those goals. There are two parts to the program- employees and members. Employees are primarily focused on SBA HUBZone area residents and are assigned a paid position within the program. Anyone who applies to be an employee will automatically be a program member. You will receive more information on the program after applying. If there is an opening for an employee position, VGS will reach out to you to schedule an interview. Responsibilities for the employee position include, but are not limited to: Attending weekly group meetings and individual meetings Fulfilling trainings in a timely manner Completing tasks assigned to your role Contributing to group projects Engaging the military spouse community Members are welcomed to the MilSpouse - A VGS Growth Program and will have access to our network of resources and benefits. Anyone who applies to the program will become a member (if they are military spouses), but not everyone who becomes a member will become an employee.
