About Us

Primera Africa Group (“PAGL” or the “Group”) is the holding company for a consumer focused, diversified group of businesses in Consumer/Small business finance, non-alcoholic beverages and Formal Retail. In recent years, the Group went through a restructuring with the set up of its Microfinance institution –Koins MFB, the acquisition of Hartleys Supermarket & Stores Limited – a fast growing formal retailer and Frutta Juice & Services Limited (Non-alcoholic drinks producer), and the divestment of its Securities Brokerage business to EFG-Hermes (“EFG”) a leading financial services corporation in frontier and emerging markets. This repositioning of PAGL places it in a strategic position to take advantage of growth associated with increased consumer spending power primarily in Nigeria and the rest of West Africa (Frutta exports its product within the region).
