Mobile Automation Engineer

***You must be living in Hungary*** The Role: The Mobile Engineer with Automation Experience is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining native mobile applications for iOS and Android while contributing to automated quality engineering practices. This role combines strong mobile software engineering expertise with hands-on test automation experience, ensuring high-quality, reliable mobile applications. The engineer collaborates closely with product, QA, and development teams, develops mobile features using Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java, and implements automated validation using one or more of Appium, Selenium, or Playwright within CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration with cross-functional teams on product deliverables. Continuous improvement in mobile and automation engineering skills. Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS and Android SDKs. Implement features using Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java following engineering best practices. Create, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks and test cases using Appium or Playwright and maintain legacy Selenium test cases. Collaborate with developers and product owners to define requirements and quality strategies. Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and release activities. Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous improvement of development and testing processes. Document technical designs, automation frameworks, and mobile implementation details. Essential: 3+ years experience developing and maintaining native mobile applications. Commercial experience with iOS and Android development using Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java. Experience creating or maintaining automated test solutions using one or more of Appium, Selenium, or Playwright. Strong understanding of software engineering principles and mobile application architecture. Ability to work within a geographically distributed development team spread between multiple time zones and cultures. Native iOS and Android development experience using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, and/or Java. Experience building and maintaining automated test solutions using Appium, Playwright, or Selenium. Strong understanding of integrated development environments and Git-based source control. Desirable: BDD with Cucumber/Gherkin, TDD with TestNG/JUnit, REST API validation, CI/CD, BrowserStack, React Native
