Role Overview:

We seek a PWA Developer to build data collection applications for infectious disease detection algorithms. The ideal candidate will excel at creating user-friendly applications and work collaboratively to deliver seamless experiences across devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Progressive Web Applications for data collection and prediction

• Collaborate with UI designers and backend developers to create consistent interfaces and integrate server-side logic

• Manage full application lifecycle from concept to support

• Write and maintain unit/UI tests, conduct code reviews, and optimize application performance

• Gather requirements and propose technical solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Proven mobile app or PWA development experience

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (ideally Python, Javascript)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective team collaboration abilities

• Experience cloud computing (ideally AWS, GCP).

Preferred Qualifications

• HTML, CSS, Git, React frontend, and NodeJS backend expertise

• Experience with react-router-dom, styled-components, TypeScript

• Knowledge of DynamoDB/PostgreSQL and AWS SDK (including Lambda functions)

• Japanese language proficiency

Time Commitment: 5+ hours/week, 3+ month part-time volunteer position
