Location: 100% Remote
Department: Marketing Operations / Customer Experience
About the Role
We are seeking a highly resilient, experienced Senior Moderator to oversee our brand’s 24/7 marketing community, social channels, and user-generated content (UGC) campaigns during the overnight hours. You will be the sole decision-maker during the night shift, responsible for protecting brand safety while fostering engagement across global marketing initiatives (product launches, live streams, ad campaigns).
This is a high-stakes role requiring exceptional judgment, speed, and the ability to work independently for 12-hour stretches.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Community Moderation (60%)
Monitor and moderate high-volume marketing channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, proprietary forums, and live chat ads) during the night shift.
Enforce community guidelines, terms of service, and brand safety standards across all UGC and paid social campaigns.
Identify and escalate brand risks (hate speech, spam, legal issues, coordinated attacks) to the on-call Marketing Manager.
Manage live event moderation during global product launches or 24-hour streaming campaigns.
Quality Assurance & Reporting (20%)
Maintain a real-time incident log; produce a detailed End of Shift Report for the day team, highlighting sentiment trends, recurring complaints, and security flags.
Use moderation tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hive Moderation, ActiveFence) to tag and categorize content for marketing analytics.
Conduct random audits of automated moderation filters to reduce false positives/negatives.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement (20%)
Act as the shift lead, providing real-time guidance to junior moderators (if applicable) or AI moderation bots.
Update escalation protocols based on emerging marketing campaign tactics.
Collaborate with the legal and marketing teams to refine response templates for sensitive brand issues.

Skills:
Deep understanding of major social platforms and their moderation backends.
Typing speed of 50+ WPM with excellent grammar.
Strong visual discernment (ability to spot doctored images, brand misuse, or inappropriate UGC).

Experience moderating for a global brand (beauty, tech, finance, or gaming).
Familiarity with marketing compliance (FTC endorsement rules, GDPR/CCPA for user data).
