Monitoring & Observability Engineer

Ceiba Tele ICU · Istanbul, Turkey · Hybrid · Full-time

About Us

Ceiba Health builds connected care technology for hospitals in the US and internationally. Our eConnect IoMT platform connects patient monitors, ventilators and infusion pumps at the ICU bedside and streams their data in real time to clinical teams. Our devices run in hospitals across multiple countries, and keeping that fleet healthy and visible is critical to patient care.

The Role

We are looking for a Monitoring & Observability Engineer to own and evolve the monitoring stack that watches our IoMT device fleet and site servers. You will build custom exporters in Rust, design alerting that catches problems before clinicians notice them, and give our engineering and support teams in Istanbul and the US a clear view of every device in the field.

What You Will Do

What You Bring

  • At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Prometheus and PromQL, Grafana dashboards and Alertmanager.
  • Solid Linux fundamentals and a working understanding of networking (SSH, TCP/IP, ports, reachability).
  • Familiarity with AWS, particularly S3.
  • Strong written and spoken English; you will communicate daily with teams in the US.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with AI assistants (e.g., Claude) to accelerate development and problem-solving, and good judgment about verifying their output.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Mimir, Loki or other large-scale metrics and log storage.
  • Experience with Docker and Ansible.
  • Background in medical devices, IoMT, healthcare or another regulated industry.
  • Experience monitoring distributed fleets of edge or embedded Linux devices.
  • Production experience with Rust.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid working model with an office in Istanbul.
  • The chance to work on technology that directly supports critical care in ICUs.
  • An international team with operations in the US.
  • An AI-first engineering culture where tools like Claude are part of how we work every day.
