Role Overview
The Motion Designer at Odio HQ plays a key role in bringing ideas to life through visually dynamic storytelling. This position merges creativity and technology to design motion graphics, animations, and short-form video content that elevate Odio HQ.
The Motion Designer will work closely with the Creative Director to produce visually compelling designs that strengthen brand identity, enhance digital experiences, and communicate complex ideas through engaging visuals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Motion Graphics & Animation
- Design and produce high-quality motion graphics for digital campaigns, social media, website content, and brand videos.
- Create animated visuals that align with brand guidelines and storytelling objectives.
- Collaborate with the Creative and Marketing teams to develop animation concepts for campaigns and editorial projects.
- Edit and enhance existing video assets with motion design, typography, and transitions.
2. Video Editing & Production
- Edit short- and long-form videos for brand communication, marketing materials, and event highlights.
- Integrate music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance storytelling impact.
- Ensure all outputs meet visual and technical quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Content Team to ensure alignment of visuals with written narratives.
3. Brand Storytelling & Creative Direction
- Work with the Creative Director to conceptualize animations that express Odio HQ’s brand story and values.
- Support the production of magazines, newsletters, long form publications, and video content with visually captivating motion elements for Odio HQ’s in-house ventures, and partner brands
- Create promotional animations for brand launches, campaigns, and events.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to visual storytelling concepts.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Editorial teams to align motion content with campaign and publication goals.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design interactive UI animations or micro-interactions when needed.
- Ensure consistency in visual communication across all digital and print touchpoints.
5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with trends in animation, design, and digital storytelling.
- Recommend new tools, formats, and approaches to enhance content quality.
- Maintain organized project files and asset libraries for easy collaboration and version control.
Key Competencies
• Strong visual storytelling and animation skills.
• Mastery of motion design software (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Blender, etc.).
• Excellent sense of timing, composition, and visual rhythm.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Animation, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in motion design, video editing, or animation (prefrably in creative, media, or tech-driven settings).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Experience creating content for social media, marketing campaigns, and editorial platforms.
• Portfolio demonstrating creativity, range, and technical ability is required.
