This is a remote/ rotational position, working on the North Slope of Alaska. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half).

Job Purpose:

Well Support Lead is responsible for the safety, scheduling, direction, coordination and supervision of Contractor’s craft personnel and equipment resources to accomplish field support work in a safe, environmentally responsible, and productive manner. This position provides motivation and direction to the project team(s)

Decisions made in this position have an impact on the resource requirements, scope/schedule/sequence of project activities, client and/or team satisfaction, risk profile, quality, health/safety/environment, and financial performance of multiple projects. The Well Support Lead is also responsible for leading by example and acting in accordance with our values and guiding principles in alignment with the client’s vision.

Essential Job Functions:

    • Plan and supervise workforce which may consist of Well Techs, Carpenters, Scaffolding, working leads and/or craft in performance of assigned work activities. This may include determination of manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, work schedules and documentation of actual hours worked.
    • Coordinates assigned work with other groups or departments, different crafts, or other contractors.
    • Assists in resolving performance problems, such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc., as required.
    • Supports management in decision making, development and implementation of specific guidelines, procedures, policies, and measurable goals to help achieve company HSE and efficiency objectives.
    • Provides HSE guidance and leadership to their team leaders.
    • Maintains direct regular contact with client representatives to determine their work requirements and can position the workforce to respond.
    • Reports to management and clients on the progress of all program activities, including significant milestones, and conditions that would affect program cost or schedule, including significant project challenges and delays
    • Must demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system objectives and the ability to maintain positive support with our contract objectives and goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Knowledge of work planning and scheduling processes to deliver cost control and cost reductions.
    • Ability to coordinate own and others’ actions, manage own time and manage personnel resources.
    • Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with client fellow workers and alternate; and demonstrate commitment to established safety policies and procedures.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain positive support with contract objectives and goals.
    • Must have ability to direct and supervise a large workforce and can solve problems and come up with solutions to everyday maintenance issues.
    • Communicates the organization’s strategy and goals and ensures employees understand the importance of their contribution to the organization towards delivering results

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Ability to climb scaffolding, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.

    • Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to severe outside weather conditions. This includes extreme cold in the winter. The employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving parts, etc. depending on the position and work environment. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
    • 7-day work week, 84 hours a week or more on a 3-week rotational schedule. Lodging and food are provided. PPE and Flame-Resistant Clothing are provided.

Offer contingent upon ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • NSTC Card required.

  • North Slope experience

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard.     • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
    • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
    • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
    • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
    • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurements will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
