Job purpose

This position is responsible for coordinate the relationship between customer, product ordering, production inventory and planning to ensure that the relationship is balanced across functions and to ensure fulfuillment of customer needs within an assigned area of responsibility with a team of assigned MRP Controllers.

Location

Viana do Castelo Turbos & Thermal Technologies plant, Portugal

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Within an assigned product area, coordinate and lead the team of MRP Controllers;
• Act as MRP Controller in situations that may require a new level of decision or first-level escalation, either within the department or the organization, or with third partied (customers, sellers, freight forwarders, ...);
• Take a proactive role in setting goals and working with the team to ensure they are achieved.
• Coordinate as the first level within the two products area the targets of inventory, sales forecast, fulfillment of deliveries from customers and suppliers;
• Follow up and staggered reporting of the situation of deliveries, production and supply of the production lines in the area of responsibility;· Position oriented towards coordination with the problem solving team; · Ensure all logistical requirements are met (EDI, Forms, web page. scorecard indexes);
• Coordinate and streamline the flow of materials between areas or departments;
• Organize materials and inventory planning to achieve production goals and work on process goals;
• Control stock/optimize within the area of responsibility;
• The position may additionally require the logistical management of production lines, in which case the tasks and responsibilities of the MRP Controller job description will apply;
• Promote efficient and open communication within the department and with other departments in the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in related area,
• +3 years of experience in area related with logistics
• Experience in team management
• Knowledge in SAPKnowledge in automotive standards and customers requirements
• Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Good English language skills (spoken and written).
• Proficiency level Portuguese (spoken and written).
