About Wild Tech

Wild Tech delivers innovative business solutions for SME and enterprise clients. We help businesses optimise performance and achieve their strategic goals through technology.

About The Role

Are you a hands-on D365 Finance & Operations technical specialist who understands the business behind the code? Join Wild Tech's Managed Services and Support team to solve complex customer problems, enhance live environments and deliver dependable technical solutions across Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.

You'll combine advanced development skills with practical finance and supply chain knowledge, taking ownership of technical incidents, extensions, integrations and releases. Working alongside Functional Consultants and Solution Architects, you'll lead technical delivery for medium to large work packages and mentor Engineers and Developers.

This is a senior technical delivery role, not a Solution Architect position. You'll own technical design and delivery while recognising when architectural or cross-platform decisions need specialist input.

Our preference is to engage a contractor. We will also consider a contract-to-permanent arrangement.

What You'll Do

Own complex technical incidents and service requests, diagnose root causes and deliver lasting fixes or practical workarounds.

Design, develop and review upgrade-safe X++ extensions, including Chain of Command, event handlers, data entities and batch frameworks.

Build and support secure, resilient integrations using OData, custom services, Data Management Framework and Azure services.

Translate finance and supply chain requirements into technical designs, estimates and solutions that reflect business processes and their financial impact.

Manage environments, source control and build and release pipelines; support platform updates, security and performance tuning.

Lead data migration, validation and reconciliation, and support testing, production deployments and post-release validation.

Manage incidents, enhancements and planned changes within agreed service targets, maintaining clear tickets, estimates and proactive customer updates.

Mentor developers, review code and create reusable technical documentation, knowledge articles and support runbooks.

What You'll Bring

7+ years' experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX, including at least 5 years in technical development.

Advanced X++ development skills and proven experience supporting and enhancing both D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.

A solid understanding of finance and supply chain processes and how they integrate, including the impact of operational transactions on financial posting.

Experience designing and delivering integrations using OData, Data Management Framework, custom services and Azure integration services.

Experience with Lifecycle Services, Azure DevOps, source control and build and release pipelines.

Experience leading data migration and resolving complex production issues.

Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to manage multiple customers and competing priorities.

Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Australia and able to attend the office two days per week, including Wednesdays.

It would be great if you also have

Experience in Application Managed Services or application support.

Experience with Dual-write, Dataverse, Power Platform and Power Automate.

Reporting experience using Electronic Reporting, SSRS or Power BI.

Knowledge of Warehouse Management, production control or advanced costing.

Experience with performance tuning, telemetry and monitoring tools.

Experience mentoring developers and leading technical teams in Agile delivery.

Relevant Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 development, Finance or Supply Chain Management, Azure development or solution architecture are welcomed.

Ready to apply?

If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, supporting customers and helping other developers grow, we'd love to hear from you. Apply with your CV and tell us about your D365 Finance & Operations development and support experience, availability and preferred engagement arrangement. Please confirm your legal entitlement to work in Australia and your ability to attend the office two days per week, including Wednesdays.
