Enumerator Coach As an Enumerator Coach with the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), you will play an important role in supporting agricultural producers and the communities they serve. You will help ensure that the data collected through agricultural surveys is reliable, accurate, and objective-information that farmers, ranchers, rural communities, and decision-makers depend on. In this role, you will support a team of Enumerators by providing coaching, quality control, technical assistance, and ongoing training throughout the data-collection process. About the Position The Enumerator Coach reports to an assigned NASDA Manager and provides leadership, support, and guidance to a team of up to 20 Enumerators. The Coach serves as a resource for Enumerators throughout the data-collection process and helps ensure surveys are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to program requirements. Essential Functions Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Review completed survey forms, questionnaires, and related materials for accuracy and completeness. Monitor, coach, and provide ongoing training and support to Enumerators during data collection. Answer technical and procedural questions and help Enumerators resolve issues in the field. Communicate regularly with the NASDA Enumerator Manager and assigned Enumerators to support successful and efficient data collection. Complete surveys as needed while effectively managing personal workload and team responsibilities. Prepare and deliver training presentations to groups of 40 or more Enumerators on a quarterly basis. Support quality-control efforts and help maintain high standards for data accuracy. Qualifications & Requirements Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Required Qualifications High school diploma and one year of college or relevant work experience. Previous experience in data collection. Exceptional critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and resolve issues independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and training skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Availability to work approximately 20–30 hours per week. Occasional weekend hours may be required. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel intermittently throughout the year. Ability to walk unassisted for up to 100 yards. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Availability to attend quarterly in-person training, which may require travel of up to 350 miles. Ability to prepare and present training sessions for groups of 40+ Enumerators. A private home-office workspace suitable for completing work responsibilities. Ability to operate and navigate an iPad, use email, and learn new technology and job-related processes. Preferred Qualifications Agricultural knowledge or experience. Sales or customer-service experience. Previous experience coaching, training, supervising, or mentoring others. Experience working with agricultural producers or in a rural community. Candidate must live in the southern part of Minnesota, anywhere between MSP and the Iowa border.
