We're looking for an energetic, self-motivated National Advertising Sales Executive to build new regional and national advertising partnerships across LPi's portfolio of print and digital advertising products.
This is a new-business sales opportunity for someone who wants to build a book of business from the ground up. You'll research and pursue larger advertisers, develop customized advertising solutions, and guide complex opportunities from first contact through negotiation and close.
  • COMPENSATION: $85,000 base plus uncapped commission, with target total annual compensation of $115,000
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remote position with Combination of office and customer locations, working independently
  • TRAVEL: Approximately 25% travel
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
As a National Advertising Sales Executive, you'll generate new advertising revenue by identifying, pursuing, and securing regional and national advertisers for LPi's publications and digital advertising products. You'll build relationships with marketing decision-makers, advertising agencies, and other key stakeholders, and create a sustainable pipeline of advertising accounts.
WHY YOU'LL WANT THIS ROLE
You'll have the opportunity to build your own book of business, win larger accounts, and take ownership of your results. This role combines the independence of managing your own prospecting and sales strategy with the satisfaction of building long-term partnerships with senior-level marketing professionals and agencies.
If you're motivated by pursuing big opportunities, developing new business, and turning persistent effort into results, this could be a great opportunity for you.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
This position reports to an Area Sales Manager or Director and works independently with general direction. You'll interact regularly with prospective advertisers, advertising agencies, marketing decision-makers, internal sales team members, and other company representatives. Collaboration across departments may be needed to develop proposals, coordinate advertising programs, and deliver on customer commitments. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
YOUR ROLE IN OUR SUCCESS
You'll be responsible for developing new regional and national advertising revenue. Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop New Regional and National Business: Identify, research, and pursue prospective advertisers whose products and services align with LPi's publications, audiences, and advertising opportunities.
  • Build a Book of Business from the Ground Up: Establish a portfolio of advertising accounts through proactive prospecting, strategic outreach, relationship development, and successful acquisition of new advertisers.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Consultative selling skills, including understanding customer objectives, presenting tailored solutions, negotiating, and closing sales.
  • Ability to build credibility and productive relationships with senior-level decision-makers, marketing professionals, media buyers, and advertising agencies.
  • Ability to build a book of business from scratch through disciplined prospecting, persistence, networking, and new-account acquisition.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple prospects, longer sales cycles, proposals, follow-ups, and negotiations at the same time.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Salesforce or another CRM system is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Three or more years of sales experience preferred, ideally in advertising, media sales, marketing, business development, or a related field. Experience selling to regional or national advertisers, working with advertising agencies, managing complex sales opportunities, or developing large accounts is highly desirable.
  • Candidates who are energetic, self-motivated, persistent, and results-oriented are encouraged to apply. Hands-on training and product education will be provided to support success in the role.
BENEFITS
  • Benefits eligibility beginning the first of the month following employment
  • Employee bonus program (up to $1,500 annually)
  • Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing development
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Dependent Care FSA
  • Company-paid short-term disability and life insurance
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and birthday time off
