Haltermann Solutions is seeking an experienced National Sales Executive to drive profitable growth across the Specialty Fuels business. This role is ideal for a results-oriented B2B sales professional who excels at developing new business opportunities, expanding strategic customer relationships, and navigating complex commercial environments. The primary focus of the role is growing market share, expanding customer engagement, and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing account and territory growth strategies through prospecting, relationship development, target-account planning, dormant-account reactivation, and expansion within existing customer accounts. This individual will own the commercial process from opportunity identification through qualification, technical alignment, negotiation, contract execution, and customer handoff. Our products support defense and aerospace, commercial space, automotive OEMs, test laboratories, sequence and reference fuels, and other applications where performance, specification compliance, supply reliability, and service are critical to customer success.
Essential Functions:
- Drive profitable growth through new customer acquisition, dormant account reactivation, and strategic account expansion within the Specialty Fuels business.
- Develop and execute national territory and target-account strategies that generate qualified opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, market intelligence, and industry engagement.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through qualification, technical alignment, proposal development, negotiation, contract execution, and implementation.
- Build relationships across technical, procurement, operations, program management, and executive stakeholders to advance opportunities and secure long-term business.
- Expand existing customer relationships by identifying new applications, additional sites, cross-selling opportunities, and competitive displacement strategies.
- Evaluate customer requirements, specifications, demand profiles, pricing considerations, and commercial opportunities to develop value-driven solutions.
- Monitor customer demand, competitive activity, pricing trends, supply developments, and emerging opportunities to provide actionable market and commercial insights.
- Partner with Operations, R&D, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, and Legal to support customer success and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, account plans, opportunity pipelines, and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
- Travel regularly to customer sites, industry conferences, trade shows, and other business-related events.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Education Qualifications:
- Required Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience Qualifications:
- Preferred 10+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience in specialty chemicals, fuels, energy, aerospace, automotive, or similar industrial markets.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience leading new business development and complex B2B sales opportunities.
- Proven success generating pipeline, winning new business, and achieving profitable growth targets.
- Experience expanding strategic accounts and reactivating dormant customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles involving technical and executive stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin, cost-to-serve, and business risk evaluation.
- Experience with account planning, forecasting, CRM systems, and pipeline management.
- Background in specialty fuels, performance chemicals, hydrocarbons, or other specification-driven products highly desirable.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, government, automotive OEM, testing laboratory, or industrial distribution customers preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.

Work Locations:
- This position is based remotely within the United States, however, candidates should be based near a major airport hub that provides efficient nationwide travel, particularly to key business locations on both the East and West Coasts to support frequent collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and business operations.

Compensation:
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000-$165,000 annually.
- Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
- This position is eligible to participate in Monument Chemical's sales incentive compensation program.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long periods of time, up to 12 hours per day.
- Sitting. Working from a seated position for up to 12 hours per day.
- Climbing. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms one to two times per day.
- Balancing. Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow or slippery surfaces.
- Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

- Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force consistently to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Lifting. Raising objects up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds consistently from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
- Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
