About the Opportunity:
Saratech is seeking an experienced NC Programmer with strong expertise in Siemens NX CAM to develop, optimize, and support CNC machining programs for a wide variety of precision components produced from both soft metals (aluminum, brass, copper, plastics) and hard metals (steel, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and other high-performance alloys).
The ideal candidate has a strong background working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment and understands real-world machining practices, tooling selection, fixture design, cutter paths, cycle time reduction, and part quality requirements. This is a fully remote position working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and shop personnel to create efficient, production-ready NC programs.
A Journeyman Machinist Card or equivalent apprenticeship training is highly desirable.

- Develop machining strategies for prototype and production components across a variety of materials and complexity levels.
- Generate and validate toolpaths for:
- 3-axis milling
- 4-axis milling
- 5-axis milling
- CNC turning
- Mill-turn applications
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies to maximize productivity and part quality.
- Perform simulation and verification of NC programs to identify and eliminate collisions, gouges, and machining inefficiencies.
- Create setup sheets, tooling lists, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with machinists, manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, and project managers to improve machining processes.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions remotely with shop personnel.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce setup time, machining cycle time, scrap, and tooling costs.
- Maintain programming standards, post processors, and best practices.
