Challenge yourself and us

At AdvanceWorks, we learn together, grow together, and have fun together. And we do all this while creating great software solutions for clients across many industries and geographies.

We are constantly challenging ourselves and each other to use the latest technologies and the best methodologies and make sure we walk the talk.

About the project

You will join a collaborative engineering team of 10–14 engineers who build and evolve products used by one of the largest mobility players in Portugal. The team owns software with a direct impact on how mobility services are delivered, so reliability, performance and maintainability matter every day.

The team works across the full stack, building end-to-end solutions with C#/.NET on the backend and Angular/TypeScript on the frontend. The products are built on RESTful APIs and microservices running in a distributed environment. They integrate with third-party services and systems and use both relational and NoSQL databases.

Much of the work involves the real challenges of distributed systems. These include designing scalable services, handling asynchronous communication and messaging, and making sure applications stay resilient and observable in production. Engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews and architecture discussions are part of how the team works.

The team values engineers who combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic approach to software development, a sense of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement. You will help shape technical decisions and the evolution of the product architecture.

The goal is to build software that is not only functional, but also scalable, secure, observable, resilient and easy to evolve.

What will be your role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack .NET / Angular Developer to design, build and evolve end-to-end solutions across the backend and frontend of products used in the mobility sector.

You will work across the full lifecycle of features and services, from design and implementation through to deployment and operation. On the backend, you will develop RESTful APIs and microservices with C# and .NET. On the frontend, you will build modern, responsive experiences with Angular and TypeScript. You will also help define the product’s software architecture and technical solutions, and bring sound engineering principles, design patterns and clean code practices to the team.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into effective technical solutions. You will take part in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and architecture and design sessions. When complex issues or production incidents come up, you will help find the root causes and put sustainable fixes in place.

As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to think beyond the code and understand the business impact of what you build. You will question existing solutions when there is a better way, balance pragmatism with good engineering practices, and share knowledge and technical guidance to help other team members grow.

Your responsibilities will include

Designing, developing and maintaining end-to-end full stack solutions using C#/.NET and Angular/TypeScript.

Designing, developing and evolving scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.

Contributing to the definition and evolution of the product’s software architecture and technical solutions.

Building reliable, maintainable and high-performing software following engineering principles, design patterns and clean code practices.

Developing modern, responsive frontend experiences using Angular and TypeScript.

Designing and integrating services, APIs and third-party systems in a distributed environment.

Working with relational and non-relational databases, choosing the right data models and persistence strategies.

Writing unit, integration and automated tests to improve test coverage and software quality.

Participating in code reviews, technical discussions and architecture and design sessions.

Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues and production incidents, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.

Monitoring and improving application performance, scalability, reliability and resilience.

Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and the automated delivery of software from development to production.

Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into effective technical solutions.

Participating in Agile ceremonies, planning, estimation, retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

Sharing knowledge, providing technical guidance and supporting the growth of other team members.

Taking ownership of features and services throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and operation.

What should you bring to the team?
