About the Role
This a hybrid role in the Raleigh, NC area. We're looking for an experienced, versatile NetSuite Engineer to expand our NetSuite capacity and serve as a bridge between our Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams and the systems that run them. You'll join a small team of eight excellent engineers—including two NetSuite Engineers—where you'll design, build, and maintain the customizations, automations, and data pipelines that keep our financial and operational systems running smoothly.
Just as important as building is judgment: gathering requirements from the business, knowing where to leverage NetSuite (and where not to), defaulting to native, out-of-the-box functionality over brittle custom scripting, and helping shape our NetSuite roadmap for the next two to three years.

What You'll Do
Requirements & Design
  • Work directly with Finance, Accounting, and Operations to elicit needs, map current-state processes, and translate them into scalable NetSuite solutions
  • Default to native configuration first; reach for custom development (SuiteScript 1.0/2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk) only where out-of-the-box won't meet the need

Implementation & Migration
  • Lead Finance's migration into NetSuite — data mapping, chart-of-accounts alignment, process redesign, and historical data conversion
  • Extend NetSuite into underserved areas: forecasting, inventory and demand planning, budget planning, and MRP

Integrations & Data
  • Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite and internal/third-party systems via REST/SOAP, middleware, and SuiteTalk
  • Own the NetSuite ELT pipeline into the data warehouse — connector administration (e.g., Fivetran), sync health monitoring, and transformation models (e.g., dbt) that feed Redshift

Automation & Operations
  • Build and improve business process automations across finance, order management, and operations — including AI-driven workflows such as automated reconciliations
  • Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and support month-end and year-end close

Platform & Stakeholder
  • Track NetSuite releases and emerging capabilities — including native AI features (e.g., 2026.2 / Ask Oracle) — and advise on what to adopt
  • Scope and manage Oracle/third-party specialist engagements for deep, niche work
  • Flex to broader company needs over time, including item masters, CX flows, and adjacent systems such as Salesforce

What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience (SuiteFoundation / SuiteCloud Developer; SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, workflows, saved searches, custom records)
  • Strong functional knowledge of NetSuite Financials: GL, AR/AP, revenue recognition, tax, financial reporting, and period close
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and partner with finance and business stakeholders to scope and deliver solutions
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations and data/ELT pipelines (REST/SOAP, middleware, SuiteTalk; connector tooling such as Fivetran; data warehousing a plus)
  • Sound judgment on when to use native NetSuite configuration vs. build custom
  • Solid software-engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, code review, and documentation
  • AI-forward - experience applying a variety of AI tools to supercharge your work, including using AI copilots and agents to accelerate delivery, leveraging NetSuite's native AI, and building AI-driven automations. This is core to how our team operates.

Why Join Us
You'll have outsized impact on the systems that run the company's financial backbone—with a mandate to modernize them using AI—working alongside a tight-knit, high-caliber team with the resources of a larger engineering org behind you.
