EP Wealth Advisors (EPWA) is a wealth management advisory firm with over $49.1 billion as of June 30, 2026, serving predominately high net worth individuals. EPWA fosters an inclusive environment that offers opportunities for our associates to learn, grow and enhance their skills to take on new challenges to progress in their professional careers.

Job Summary

We are hiring a Network Engineer to own the network and physical technology foundation of EP Wealth's distributed office environment. You will manage our internet connectivity and office networks, own the Office of the Future program across 55+ offices, help build the reliability model for branch connectivity, and carry the network side of acquisitions and office changes. You will serve as the engineering escalation point for network issues beyond front-line support, and you will work closely with Cloud & Platform Services, Technology Support Services, Cybersecurity, and the Technology PMO. Experience leading or supporting a branch office model is central to this role, as is the ability to report on progress and present to office and leadership audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

Network and Office Infrastructure

  • Configure, operate, and improve routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms for branch offices.
  • Manage internet service providers, including carrier escalations, circuit lifecycle, and connectivity standards.
  • Maintain network standards and configuration baselines across offices.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and runbooks.
  • Office of the Future

  • Own the Office of the Future program for bringing 55+ offices up to EP's new standards: Meraki to UniFi migration, security cameras, physical access control, updated equipment, a locking rack or locked closet, and secure print.
  • Collaborate with the vendors and partners who perform Office of the Future work and do hands-on configuration and installation when needed.
  • Function as the product owner for secure print, with Technology Support Services on the support side.
  • Own the network and physical security components of each office, from design through validation.
  • Branch reliability

  • Help build the branch reliability model, starting with health checks and availability measurement, and growing toward heartbeat checks, synthetic testing, and uptime reporting.
  • Contribute to the observability platform and application dashboards as they develop.
  • Drive down recurring connectivity issues through root-cause analysis and automation.
  • Acquisitions and office changes

  • Carry the network workstream for partnership integrations, including preparation, cutover, and post-cutover stabilization, as part of temporary delivery pods.
  • Deliver technical work for office adds, moves, and changes, working with the Tech PMO.
  • Coordinate third-party partners performing deployment and physical rack-and-stack work and assist with remote configuration.
  • Coordination, reporting, and communication

  • Function as a light product manager for network and office technology: keep the roadmap, priorities, dependencies, and status clear across offices and vendors.
  • Coordinate work across offices, vendors, and internal teams, and keep stakeholders informed of schedules, risks, and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain reports on branch reliability, Office of the Future progress, and recurring issues.
  • Present those reports and recommendations to leadership and speak with office staff and leaders about changes that affect them.
  • Escalation, change, and security

  • Serve as the engineering-level escalation point for network and physical security issues that exceed Service Desk capability.
  • Provide technical risk assessment, implementation planning, and rollback planning for changes in scope, in line with EP Wealth's change authority model.
  • Implement and operate assigned technical security controls on network and physical security platforms, in partnership with the CISO and the cybersecurity team.
  • Support major incidents and emergency outages in line with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Travel to offices, approximately 25% of the time, to support builds, remediation, and cutovers.
  • Qualifications

  • Branch office experience (key focus): experience leading or supporting a branch office model, including defining, standardizing, or rolling out technology standards across a large footprint of distributed offices.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the presence to speak confidently with office staff, leadership, and vendors.
  • Experience building clear reports and dashboards from operational data and presenting them to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with light product management or project coordination: prioritizing work, managing dependencies, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or systems administration in a corporate environment, with demonstrated Tier 3 ownership.
  • Hands-on experience with routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms in multi-site or branch environments.
  • Experience with IP camera systems and physical access control (door entry), ideally within the Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem (UniFi Protect and UniFi Access).
  • Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking, which is our emerging standard, strongly preferred. Meraki experience is valuable during the migration.
  • Experience with ISP and carrier management, including escalation and circuit lifecycle.
  • Experience in a change-management environment, ideally ITIL-based.
  • Scripting or automation experience to reduce manual work and recurring issues.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Certifications (preferred, not required)

  • URSCA (UniFi Routing, Switching & Cybersecurity Admin) or UWA (UniFi Wireless Admin), or CCNA/Cisco Meraki certification
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • Additional Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% (Regional), with occasional national travel for team working sessions or company events.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and written documentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating with significant autonomy as a technical escalation resource across distributed offices.
  • Effective communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with the Service Desk, Cloud & Identity, and Security teams.
  • Team Player — shares wins and successes; fosters open dialogue; acts as if real success is the success of the whole team.
  • Curious — willing to learn and research; learns quickly when facing problems; enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
  • AI-Enabled — explores and leverages approved AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate scripting, documentation, troubleshooting, and knowledge capture.
