Network Installation Technician

Job Title: Network Installation Technician Position Details Location: Los Angeles Work Time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PST Contract Duration: 9–12 Months Minimum Relevant Experience: 3 Years Job Description Required Experience Proposed candidate shall have 3 years of experience installing and configuring low voltage IT systems. Experience in the following areas is preferred : Genetec Omnicast Certification Genetec Synergis Certification BICSI RCDD Certification At least 1 year of experience in the following technologies: Genetec Security Center 5.11 or newer Cisco or HP Enterprise Network Configuration Cisco and Aruba Local Wireless Controller Cisco VoIP and CUCM Valcom IP Public Address DMP (Digital Monitoring Products) Good verbal and written communication skills. Key Responsibilities Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting: Local Area Networks (LAN) Wireless networks VoIP systems IP Public Address / Intercom systems IP Video Camera systems Configuring a variety of networking equipment. Analyzing and solving networking problems. Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards. Conducting site surveys and on-site assessments . Preparing design / Scope of Work (SOW) for installations. Preparing clear and concise reports and technical documentation . Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively in writing and verbally . Setting priorities and completing tasks within defined timelines . Additional Responsibilities Conduct site surveys Develop Scopes of Work Create Bill of Materials Accept equipment deliveries at warehouse Create asset workbooks Generate status completion emails Rearrange network equipment Install power equipment (UPS / Stepdown Transformers) Install and configure: Network switches Modules Cards Install and configure IP converged system equipment Install Cat6e / Fiber patch cords Troubleshoot LAN equipment Flexible work from home options available.
