JOB TITLE

Network & IT Support Engineer

Microsoft 365 / Azure / Windows / Networking / Systems Administration

We are particularly interested in candidates with approximately 2–4 years of verifiable practical IT, networking, systems administration or technical support experience.

This is not simply a helpdesk position.

We need someone who can investigate technical problems, identify their root causes and implement solutions.

EDUCATION – FIRST CLASS ONLY

Applicants MUST have a First Class Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in Nigeria in one of the following disciplines:

• Computer Engineering
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Network Engineering
• Closely related Computer/IT discipline

FIRST CLASS DEGREE HOLDERS ONLY

Please do not apply with a 2:1, 2:2, Third Class, HND or unrelated degree.

All university degrees and professional certifications will be verified before or upon employment.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

The successful candidate will become one of the company's key technical resources.

We need an engineer who can diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve IT problems, rather than someone who needs to be told every step to follow.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. COMPUTER & WINDOWS SUPPORT

You should have practical experience troubleshooting Windows-based computers, including:

• Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Computer setup and configuration
• User-account configuration
• Software installation and configuration
• Windows updates
• PC performance problems
• Printer and peripheral troubleshooting
• Driver problems
• Antivirus and endpoint protection
• Backup and recovery
• Remote troubleshooting
• Hardware versus software diagnosis

You should be capable of remotely assisting employees whose computers are not functioning correctly and systematically identifying the cause.

2. MICROSOFT OUTLOOK & EMAIL SUPPORT

This will be an important part of your responsibilities.

We need someone capable of investigating why an email is not being sent, received or synchronized and finding the underlying problem.

3. MICROSOFT 365 ADMINISTRATION

Experience supporting Microsoft 365 for an organization with multiple remote employees would be particularly useful.

4. NETWORKING

This is a Network & IT Support Engineering position, so good practical networking knowledge is essential.

You should understand how to determine whether a technical problem originates from the:

PC → Network → Router → Firewall → VPN → ISP → DNS → Microsoft/Cloud Service

We want someone who can systematically troubleshoot rather than guess.

5. DOMAIN & BUSINESS EMAIL CONFIGURATION

Knowledge of domains, DNS and email configuration is highly desirable.

You should understand or have practical experience with:

• Domain names
• DNS management
• MX records

You may be required to investigate why company emails are being rejected, not reaching recipients or being delivered to spam folders.

6. MICROSOFT AZURE & CLOUD

Experience with Microsoft Azure will be a significant advantage.

Microsoft AZ-104 certification is highly desirable.

AZ-305 or other Microsoft cloud certifications will also be considered an advantage.

7. REMOTE IT SUPPORT

A significant proportion of our staff and associates work remotely.

You should therefore be comfortable diagnosing technical problems remotely and communicating with users who may not have advanced technical knowledge.

Our expected troubleshooting approach is:

LISTEN → DIAGNOSE → TEST → RESOLVE → DOCUMENT → PREVENT RECURRENCE

You should also be capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical staff in simple language.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

The following certifications are desirable:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate – AZ-104
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect – AZ-305
• Microsoft 365 certifications
• Cisco CCNA
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• Other Cisco certifications
• ITIL
• Other recognized networking, Microsoft, cloud or cybersecurity certifications

You are not required to possess all of these certifications.

For the right employee, the company may pay or contribute toward future professional training, examinations and certifications.

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Academic qualifications are important, but we are also looking for someone who can solve real technical problems.

We do not expect you to know everything.

However, when you encounter something you do not know, we expect you to be capable of researching, investigating, testing and finding the correct solution.

SALARY, BONUSES & CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Starting Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000 per month

The starting salary will depend upon experience, technical knowledge, certifications and performance during our recruitment process.

Salary Progression

For the right candidate, salary could increase to approximately ₦250,000 per month within 18 months.

In addition to salary:

• Staff can earn significant performance and project bonuses.
• Existing staff have opportunities to earn bonuses which can exceed ₦500,000 in a year, depending upon projects and performance.
• We conduct regular performance and salary reviews.
• We provide substantial professional training through our international associates.
• We may pay for relevant professional examinations and certifications for high-performing employees.

Our objective is for our strongest technical employees to develop substantially during their time with us.

We expect high-performing technical staff to have the potential to earn approximately ₦350,000–₦500,000 per month by the end of their fourth year, depending upon their progression, responsibilities and performance.

Exceptional long-term performers may also have opportunities to work on projects with our international associates, including potential opportunities involving our associates in California, USA and the United Kingdom.

JOB LOCATION

This is a Lagos State hybrid position – remote and office-based.

During the initial period, a substantial amount of work may be performed remotely.

You should be prepared to commence work within approximately one week of successfully completing the recruitment process.

If an exceptional candidate currently lives outside Lagos State, the company may consider assisting with relocation expenses to Lagos.

STEP 2 – INTERVIEW PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates will go through a three-stage interview process.

Stage 1 – Initial Screening

An initial discussion with our Admin/HR team to confirm that you understand the position, salary, requirements and expectations.

Stage 2 – Technical/Group Interview

You will participate in a technical interview where your practical knowledge and problem-solving abilities will be assessed.

You may be presented with realistic technical problems involving:

• Networking
• Windows computers
• Microsoft Outlook
• Microsoft 365
• Email configuration
• DNS
• Azure
• Cybersecurity

We are interested in understanding how you troubleshoot and think, not simply how many technical terms you can memorize.

Stage 3 – Final Interview

A one-to-one interview with the Global CEO based in the United States.

STEP 3 – OFFER & INITIAL TRAINING

Successful candidates will receive an employment offer and undertake intensive training during the first two weeks of their probationary period.
