Network Security Engineer

We're Hiring: IT Security Specialist IV

📍 Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week)

📅 Contract: 1 year, with extension potential

We are looking for an experienced IT Security Specialist to support enterprise firewall security, policy implementation, and application deployments across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision, configure, and maintain enterprise firewall security rules and policies.
• Support application deployments through firewall policy adjustments, implementations, and assessments.
• Troubleshoot complex firewall and network connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with application, network, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Ensure security changes follow established governance, documentation, and change management processes.
• Support security policy automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise firewall and network security experience.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Guardicore, and/or Netskope.
• Experience with security policy automation and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• ITIL v3 certification or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Tufin, Palo Alto Panorama, Akamai, or Shape (F5).
• Knowledge of Cisco routing and Zero Trust concepts.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or other large enterprise environments.
