Network Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer with a strong background in designing, configuring, and implementing network security solutions. The ideal candidate will be capable of designing and implementing robust security architectures to protect IT infrastructure against complex cyber threats.

This role is equivalent to a Subject Matter Expert (SME) position in the field of Network Security.

You will work closely with networking, network security, and IT teams to develop and optimize firewall and next-generation firewall (NGFW) solutions, leveraging advanced technologies (e.g. Palo Alto, Radware, Fortinet).

Key Responsibilities

Network Security Solution Design, Implementation, and Training

• Design security architectures for complex network environments, ensuring proper network segmentation and protection of data networks.
• Configure and optimize firewall and NGFW solutions, implementing advanced security policies to control access and prevent cyber threats.
• Provide technical support to pre-sales and sales teams, helping them identify and propose the most suitable technical solutions to meet partner and customer requirements.
• Provide technical input for the preparation of customized proposals and ensure the necessary technical resources are allocated to support these activities.
• Support the pre-sales team in conducting Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and delivering complex technical demonstrations to customers.
• Deliver advanced technical training sessions to partners and customers.
• Stay up to date with the software and hardware solutions distributed by the company, leveraging vendor documentation, industry reports, technical publications, and other relevant sources.

Security Compliance and Standards

• Apply security best practices and ensure alignment with international and local standards and regulations, including ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, GDPR, and applicable national IT security requirements.

Requirements

Professional Experience and Technical Expertise

• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing network security solutions, particularly in firewall and NGFW configuration and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with network security technologies from vendors such as Palo Alto Networks, Imperva, Radware, Cisco, Fortinet, or similar.

Advanced Networking and Security Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, as well as security protocols such as SSL/TLS and IPsec.
• Strong knowledge of encryption, authentication mechanisms, and data protection technologies.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

• Ability to quickly and effectively analyze security threats, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical, reliable solutions.
