Meraki Talent is partnering with an innovative fintech business in Athens in building a next-generation fintech platform. As they continue to scale, they're seeking a Network Security Engineer to take ownership of the design, security and observability of their cloud network infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to join a growing company at an early stage, and you will play a key role in shaping a secure, highly regulated fintech environment. You'll work closely with platform and engineering teams to design network controls, strengthen security posture, and support compliance frameworks including PCI DSS.

About the role:

As Network Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for securing and monitoring critical cloud infrastructure, including environments handling sensitive customer data. You'll design network segmentation strategies, effective testing and hardening of the Network, optimising observability throughout. You will combine network engineering, cloud security and automation within a fast-growing technology business.

You will design and maintain secure AWS network architectures and segmentation controls, manage firewall policies, security groups, network ACLs and routing configuration, configure and optimise security controls, enhance network monitoring, logging and intrusion detection capabilities. You will also partner with engineers, auditors and penetration testing teams to strengthen controls and harden the network.

About You:

• Experience in Network Engineering with a security focus/Network Security Engineering
• Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing and TLS
• Hands-on experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, Security Groups, connectivity
• A background of implementing network segmentation and firewall management in production environments
• Network monitoring, flow log analysis and threat detection expertise
• Scripting or automation skills using Python, TypeScript, or similar technologies

Nice to have:

• PCI DSS experience or exposure to regulated environments
• Fintech, payments, or financial services experience
• CCNP, AWS Security, OSCP
