About the role

The Non-Financial Risks & Risk Governance team is looking for a colleague in Lisbon to support the management of non-financial risks across the group, with a particular focus on technology-related risks. This role offers the opportunity to build a career at the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, risk management and regulatory compliance. You will work with IT, Information Security and business stakeholders to help align systems, processes and policies with internal standards and regulatory requirements. You will join a supportive team of risk professionals committed to learning, collaboration and excellence.

What you'll do

• Assist with operational risk assessments, scenario analysis and other risk analyses, with a particular focus on AI, IT, information security and cyber risk, while also supporting operational resilience and other non-financial risks.
• Support the identification, assessment and ongoing monitoring of operational and technology-related risks across the business.
• Investigate operational risk events and near misses, conduct root-cause analysis and support remediation by tracking mitigation measures and action plans through to completion.
• Support the assessment and monitoring of IT and cybersecurity-related risks and controls.
• Assist in the preparation and updating of presentations, policies, procedures and reporting materials within the Non-Financial Risks & Risk Governance team.
• Support the definition, maintenance and updating of key risk indicators and key performance indicators.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, risk awareness activities and the development of dashboards and management reports.

What you'll need

• 2–3 years of professional experience in non-financial risk, operational risk, IT risk, information security or cybersecurity, ideally within a financial institution or a consultancy.
• Bachelor degree in information security, IT, cybersecurity, business, finance, business analytics or a related field.
• Understanding of IT risk, information security, cybersecurity and risk governance, and familiarity with broader non-financial risk topics.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly in writing and in presentations.
• Critical thinker who challenges constructively and asks the right questions, with a collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in a career in risk management.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
• Full professional proficiency in English, with Portuguese or German a plus.

Nice to have

• Basic data analysis or coding skills, particularly in SQL or Python.
