Observability Engineer

Job Description This is a remote position. The Opportunity We are looking for a proactive Monitoring and Observability Engineer to join our team on a contractor basis. This role is responsible for fulfilling monitoring and observability requests by onboarding and setting up the necessary monitoring infrastructure. You will work closely with the engineering team and leverage automation to streamline these processes. Key Responsibilities - Fulfill monitoring and observability requests by onboarding and setting up monitoring solutions. - Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure proper implementation of monitoring tools. - Utilize automation, leveraging APIs (AppDynamics & others), to efficiently complete setup and configuration tasks. - Work with tools like AppDynamics and various scripting languages to enhance automation. - Ensure monitoring solutions meet the required standards and are effectively integrated. Requirements Required Skills - Proficiency in AppDynamics and scripting languages. - Strong automation skills to streamline monitoring setups. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. - Good communication skills for collaboration with engineering teams. - Familiarity with other observability tools and general best practices. Professional Experience - Proven experience in setting up and configuring monitoring solutions. - Hands-on experience with AppDynamics and scripting for automation. - Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. - Demonstrated ability to manage and complete multiple monitoring requests efficiently.
