Occupational Therapist – Telehealth & Community

Sydney & Melbourne · Hybrid · Permanent Full-Time
Salary commensurate with experience

Join us. Be you. Do your life’s best work here now.

Let’s be honest – you didn’t choose Occupational Therapy to sit in rigid systems, drown in admin, or feel like just another provider number.

You chose it to change lives. To solve problems. To build independence. And to use your clinical expertise where it can make a genuine difference.

That’s where CARED comes in.

About CARED – aka the future of care

CARED is an innovative health tech allied health provider helping people access high-quality care, when and where they need it.

We work with NDIS participants across Australia, using smart technology and a highly experienced service team to connect each person with the right clinician for their needs.

No cookie-cutter care. No one-size-fits-all caseloads.

Just thoughtful, human-centred allied health support, backed by better systems and a team that genuinely cares about doing things well.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for experienced Occupational Therapists to grow with us.

About the role – where your magic comes in

We’re looking for experienced Occupational Therapists to join CARED as permanent, full-time employees in Sydney and Melbourne.

This is a hybrid role combining telehealth with community-based, face-to-face services, giving you variety in your week while still providing the stability, support and connection of being part of a permanent team.

You’ll work with a diverse caseload that may include:

  • Ongoing therapeutic intervention

  • Functional Capacity Assessments and other clinical assessments

  • Progressive neurological conditions, including MS and Parkinson’s

  • Paediatric and adult clients across different life stages

  • Neurodivergent clients, including people with autism and ADHD

  • Psychosocial, intellectual and physical disabilities

  • Assistive technology and equipment prescription, depending on your experience

  • Capacity building, independence and participation goals

We receive referrals across assessments, reports and ongoing intervention, and we take the time to match participants with clinicians whose experience and clinical interests suit their needs.

And importantly, you won’t be left to figure everything out alone.

Our Service Team supports the operational side of participant care, while you’ll be part of a collaborative clinical community where you can share knowledge, ask questions and focus on being a great OT.

Have specialist assessment expertise?

We’d particularly love to hear from OTs with experience in areas such as:

  • Complex Home Modifications

  • Assistive Technology prescription and trials

  • Driving and Community Mobility Assessments

  • Complex Functional Capacity Assessments

Specialist expertise and experience will be recognised when determining remuneration.

Why you’ll love working with CARED

We want to create the kind of clinical role great practitioners actually want to stay in.

That means:

  • Permanent full-time employment and the security that comes with it

  • Competitive salary commensurate with your experience and expertise

  • A genuinely hybrid working model, combining telehealth and community-based care

  • Flexibility within your working week

  • A diverse, thoughtfully matched caseload

  • Technology and systems designed to reduce unnecessary admin

  • Operational support from our experienced Service Team

  • A collaborative multidisciplinary allied health environment

  • The opportunity to contribute to a growing, innovative healthcare business

  • Meaningful work with people whose independence, participation and quality of life you can genuinely influence

  • The opportunity to develop your clinical expertise and build your career as CARED grows

About you – aka our kind of human

You’re an experienced OT who is clinically sharp, compassionate and comfortable working autonomously, but you also enjoy being part of a team.

You care about the quality of your clinical work and the experience of the person receiving it.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • At least 3 years’ post-graduate Occupational Therapy experience

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Experience working with NDIS participants and/or people with disability

  • Experience delivering both assessments and ongoing therapeutic intervention

  • Confidence working via telehealth

  • Capacity to provide community-based services within your local area

  • Strong clinical documentation and report-writing skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to participant care

You’ll also need access to a private, professional workspace for telehealth, with reliable internet, camera and microphone.

This is a permanent role

To be clear, this is not contractor work.

You’ll join CARED as a permanent, full-time employee, with the stability and benefits of employment while working within a modern, flexible and technology-enabled allied health model.

We’re looking for OTs who want to become part of CARED, build relationships with participants and colleagues, and help us shape an even better way of delivering allied health care.

The bottom line

At CARED, we don’t believe flexibility should come at the cost of clinical integrity – and we don’t think meaningful work should come at the cost of having a life outside work either.

We believe you can:

Do work that matters.

Be supported, trusted and valued.

Keep growing as a clinician.

And still have a life outside your calendar.

If you’re an experienced OT looking for something more human, more flexible and a little more forward-thinking, we’d love to meet you.

Join us. Be you. Do your life’s best work here now.

Apply now.

Please note: CARED does not currently offer sponsorship or relocation assistance for this role.
