Odoo Accountant (Crypto / Fintech) - Ljubljana

• Our client, a fast-growing crypto-payments business with a direct reporting line into Canada, is looking for an Accountant to join its team in Ljubljana. The company enables consumers to pay for goods and services with the cryptocurrency and wallet of their choice, while merchants receive the sale price in the currency and bank account of their choice, securely and without delay.

This is a hybrid role. You will be based in Ljubljana or close enough to commute by car when needed. You will report to a part-time senior accountant and to the finance lead, and will be trained on the company's Odoo set-up and on the crypto-specific side of the work.

Responsibilities:

- Post journal entries and month-end accruals in Odoo

- Reconcile and analyse general ledger accounts and prepare monthly bank reconciliations

- Handle accounts payable and receivable and support month-end close for multiple entities

- Process cash disbursements and prepare weekly cash reports

- Help prepare monthly and annual financial statements

- Support onboarding documentation for banking partners

- Support year-end closing

Requirements:

- Accounting qualification or degree in accounting or finance, plus some hands-on accounting experience (junior to mid level is fine)

- Practical experience with Odoo, or a similar cloud accounting system such as Xero or QuickBooks, and willingness to learn quickly

- Good Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)

- Basic understanding of crypto and digital assets, or real curiosity to learn

- Fluent English, written and spoken

- Tech-savvy, highly organised, with strong attention to detail

- Team player, ready to roll up sleeves when needed

- Salary EUR 50,000 - 70,000 gross per year depending on experience
