Reviewing and checking quotations to ensure all measurements, pricing and product details are correct.
Processing and placing orders with suppliers, ensuring accuracy and monitoring progress through to delivery.
Checking pricing and profit margins to ensure quotations and orders meet business requirements.
Assisting with basic accounts administration, including bank reconciliations using Xero.
Maintaining accurate customer records and updating internal systems.
Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries and ensure orders are processed efficiently.
Providing general administrative support to the wider business, including managing correspondence, updating records and following up on outstanding tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Strong numerical skills and confidence working with figures, pricing and calculations.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads effectively.
Confident IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
A methodical and proactive approach to work.
Comfortable working with detailed information, specifications and administrative processes.
Ability to work independently while supporting a wider team.
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous but is not essential:
Previous experience in an office administration, sales administration or order processing role.
Experience using Xero or similar accounting software, particularly bank reconciliations.
Experience working within a manufacturing, construction, trade, retail or interiors environment.
Familiarity with CRM systems or quotation/order management software.
Full training will be provided on the company's internal systems, products and processes.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is particularly interested in candidates who are naturally thorough, reliable and comfortable working with numbers.
You will be someone who enjoys maintaining accurate records, checking information carefully and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
Previous industry experience is not essential. The most important qualities are attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a positive, organised approach to work.
