The Role
We are seeking an experienced Online Merchandising Manager to lead digital merchandising strategy, product presentation, online assortment, promotional execution, conversion optimization, and commercial performance across e-commerce platforms and digital sales channels.
The ideal candidate will combine strong e-commerce, merchandising, analytical, commercial, customer-experience, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
The role will be responsible for optimizing online product discovery and presentation, managing digital assortments, improving conversion and sales performance, coordinating promotional activity, analyzing customer behavior, and ensuring that online merchandising strategies support overall commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement online merchandising strategies aligned with e-commerce growth, revenue, customer, and brand objectives.
- Manage online product assortment, product categorization, collections, landing pages, search results, navigation, filters, recommendations, and digital storefront presentation.
- Ensure products are accurately presented online with high-quality images, descriptions, specifications, pricing, availability, attributes, and relevant content.
- Analyze online sales, traffic, conversion, customer behavior, search performance, product engagement, basket size, and other digital-commerce metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve product discoverability, conversion, average order value, customer engagement, and online revenue.
- Develop and manage digital merchandising calendars covering product launches, seasonal campaigns, promotions, key shopping events, and commercial initiatives.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Buying, Retail Merchandising, Product, Technology, UX/UI, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to execute online merchandising plans.
- Manage online promotional activity including campaigns, discounts, bundles, featured products, seasonal collections, and promotional landing pages.
- Monitor product availability and coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations teams to minimize stockouts and ensure commercially important products remain available online.
- Develop online assortment strategies based on customer demand, sales performance, market trends, seasonality, inventory availability, and profitability.
- Monitor search performance and identify opportunities to improve internal search, product ranking, filtering, navigation, and product discovery.
- Work with E-commerce and Technology teams to optimize site functionality, merchandising tools, recommendation engines, personalization, and digital customer journeys.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking covering assortment, pricing, promotions, product presentation, digital experience, and online positioning.
- Develop and maintain online merchandising dashboards and performance reports.
- Establish and monitor KPIs covering revenue, conversion rate, traffic, product visibility, sell-through, average order value, search performance, engagement, and margin.
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis where appropriate to evaluate merchandising changes and optimize customer experience.
- Identify slow-moving, high-performing, emerging, and strategically important products and develop appropriate merchandising actions.
- Support new product launches and ensure digital channels are fully prepared with accurate content, inventory, pricing, promotional assets, and merchandising placement.
- Coordinate with Content and Creative teams to ensure digital assets support product positioning and commercial objectives.
- Manage relationships with external digital platforms, marketplaces, technology providers, agencies, and brand partners where applicable.
- Maintain comprehensive product-content records, merchandising calendars, campaign trackers, assortment plans, performance dashboards, and digital merchandising guidelines.
- Identify commercial, operational, technical, inventory, and customer-experience risks affecting online performance and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare executive-level reports, performance reviews, commercial recommendations, and strategic merchandising plans.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate should have strong experience in online merchandising, e-commerce, digital retail, category management, digital marketing, commercial planning, or a related field.
Experience within fashion, beauty, consumer goods, electronics, home, lifestyle, luxury, supermarkets, marketplaces, or specialty retail would be advantageous.
The candidate should have strong knowledge of e-commerce customer journeys, digital product presentation, online assortment management, conversion optimization, promotional merchandising, and commercial analytics.

- Strong Excel and analytical capabilities; experience with platforms such as GA4, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is advantageous.
- Highly organized, commercially minded, customer-focused, and results-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced digital environment.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote environment.
- Experience in the UAE or wider Middle East e-commerce market is advantageous.
