Operational Buyer (f/m/d)

You ensure smooth and reliable procurement processes and work closely with internal teams and suppliers. At Axpo, you bring your strengths into a diverse, respectful and welcoming environment.

What you will do:

• Review purchase requisitions for completeness, accuracy, budget compliance and adherence to procurement policies.

• Create, release and track purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring correct details on items, prices, deliveries and cost allocations.

• Coordinate order confirmations, delivery dates and changes, following up with suppliers and internal requesters.

• Support procurement activities by obtaining and comparing quotes and preparing purchasing recommendations.

• Resolve operational procurement issues such as delivery delays, quantity or price discrepancies, invoice mismatches and missing documents.

• Ensure compliance with contract terms, authorizations and procurement controls, and help improve processes and data quality.

What you bring & who you are:

• You have several years of experience in operational purchasing, procurement or a related supply chain function.

• You are familiar with procure-to-pay processes and have hands-on experience handling purchase orders and supplier communication through an ERP or procurement system – SAP experience is a plus.

• You hold or are close to completing a degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, economics or a related field.

• You are confident using MS Office, especially Excel.

• You have very good German skills and good English skills.

• You bring a structured, careful way of working, an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail, combined with good communication and team skills. Even if you don't meet all the requirements, we look forward to your application.
